PoM Event

Thankyou for the PoM event planned for this weekend. I do have a question for those in charge... Will the PoM drops act like memento drops as in everyone participating will get a their own drop... or will they drop as per normal boss kills as in 2 per boss shared among the whole party/raid? Depending on how this works, it may be better to solo the 1st 5 bosses than clear the whole run as a group.

as I understand, solo 1-5 is optimal, then use alts that cant solo for colors then share last 4 PoM between the people that help on alts.

It can be done it's just a pain on a healer. It's a shame that it promotes not running with others, but let's be honest it would have been way too incredibly exploitable to let it be 2 per person.

OR, just solo 1-5 have a friend come duo colors boss with you using alts (not main) then solo last, and do the same for them on colors with your alts when they go in to do it. win-win :)

I think leaving poms on these bosses... or putting poms on boss 6/7 ( or just last boss ) in Hos / ZS / DL would encourage running the "epic" instances more and more.

PROS:
more poms for server
more poms for sale
more people wearing pom gear (thus more endgamers)
more gear to potentially be plussed with IS jewels if you are asking from IS prospecitve

CONS:
1% farms for gold.

Well i just hope that people will not fall for the : Need more people for color boss, whisper me!!! and then only be able to have a chance to get maybe 4 poms on rolls. Anyone asking for help on color boss and that have killed the first 5 should not be getting any help.

I do agree they should probably have put the POM's on color boss or last boss to make sure at least 4 people had to go in and complete it, but now a lot of people will only do first 5 bosses for 10 easy pom's. TYVM for this event and i appreciated it and will get mine with guildies ;-)

Share the POM's and be fair to each others ;-)

So this is not restricted to per account since HoS is only a once a day instance.....gonna be so nice if I can use all my toons on the same account to run this...got a few on one account that can solo up to colors.

So anyone confirm- are the PoMs restricted to per account availability or per toon?

I really don't understand why people are having such a hard time understanding this..

You go into HoS Normal Mode
You kill each boss
You loot each boss
In addition to their normal loot, each boss will have 2 PoMs. 2 TOTAL PoMs PER BOSS, PARTY WIDE.
If you can solo HoS, great. You get a total of 10 PoMs guaranteed a day per toon. As only 5 bosses can be solo'd***
If you cant solo and run with a party, the entire party will be rolling for the 2 PoMs every boss.


***Regarding solo'ing:

Yes you can nuke 6th, but no loot drops just flat out burning it, and the door to final boss doesn't open

Yes there are ways to trigger the last boss solo without being able to get into the last room, but use these methods at your own risk of ban. I'm sure they'll be looking at abuse in HoS for this event like they look for ToSH powerleveling abuse

nuking 6th -> ONLY PoMs drop(as in no mems/gear). I assume because they are probably a seperate loot table/reference than the regular loot.

Well, it is what it is, we'll just have to move on and wait till Monday-ish. Hopefully GF will activate some of the other event stuff they have been apparently holding off on this weekend instead? Wouldn't mind a golden egg npc/event but that's just me being self-serving :P
