Runes of Magic US / AU

First time I'd heard of a w/k "stun lock" rotation... my guess would be:

1. Surprise Attack (knockdown)
2. Probing Attack -> Open Flank -> Thunder ( stun )
3. Strike of Punishment ( prevent regular attacks for 3 secs )/a couple of hits
4. Shout ( stun )
5. couple of hits
6. Blasting Cyclone (knockdown)
7. Hit
8. Terror ( make them run around )

& hope your skills come off cd? then rinse and repeat?

Guy above forgot Throw Shield.

Remember, Terror and Shout can only be used once per "session". If you're able to bridge cooldowns, Blasting Cyclone and Thunder can be used twice.

For that reason, I'd begin with either of those.

Note: Check Throw Shield cooldown.

If you're only playing W/K for siege, then the only skills you will want to max are Blocking Stance and Thunder. You can also max Survival Instinct if you have the TP since it can be a really powerful buff if you survive long enough to use it.

As far as stun rotation goes...I don't know if this the perfect stun rotation but, it's probably a good start. You will want to use whatever skill is up in the list below with the skills at the top of the list being higher priority than the others.

-Throw Shield
-Strike of Punishment (only if they're physical, W/M, K/M, or WD/D)
-Thunder
-Blasting Cyclone
-Terror
-Shout

If Throw Shield is only 6s cooldown, that means you can plug it in after Blasting Cyclone, and then after Shout on Maimed's rotation. This would give you another ~3.5s stun duration bridge for the medium length cooldowns of Blasting and Thunder and therefore being able to use them again.

BC - ~3s
TS - 2s
Terror - 4s
Shout - 3s
TS - 2s
Thunder - 5s
BC - ~3s

You can use it as a gap closer at the start. But after that, it's probably not worth it. I mean, it doesn't really last long enough to plug it into a stun rotation.


But that's coming from a Warmage. I actually do quite a bit of damage while I'm stunning someone. So running away from my target to be able to Surprise Attack them in the middle of my stun rotation is not really ideal.

One thing to be wary of is the fact that throw shield doesn't interrupt casting. In other words, if your goal is to interrupt let's say Group Heal, throw shield is not the skill to do this. It "prevents" actions, but does not stop current ones.

As for dealing damage, that's what bursting beetles are for.
