Runes of Magic US / AU

i know this is an almost-a-year old post, but i d like to know if there has been any progress on the 2 titles that cannot be obtained anymore due to craft limit changes:

- study all gathering skills to expert: before patch u could have all 3 to expert, after patch only 1 skill can be lvled to expert
- study all production skills to craftsman: before patch u could have all 6 to craftsman, after patch only 4 skills can be lvled to craftsman

plz, elaborate if any info on this

I got all the gathering skills to expert b4 the change on an alt. Now I find that I cannot get any crafting skill to expert on that toon. Do I have to drop two gathering skills down to craftsman in order to get one crafting skill to expert?

*falls down and rolls on the ground kicking and screaming* No no no no no! That's not the answer I wanted!

For those who were grandfathered in (if you previously had 2 gathering skills above 40) the new system now reads the gathering/crafting skills as the same... I think. I currently have one crafting skill above 80, three at 40, and 2 at 20. I currently have one gathering skill at 100, another at 60, and the third at 20. And yet, for some reason, I can not get any one of my lvl 40 crafting skills to go beyond 40.

As a side note - gathering and refining are different terms for the same skill.

But to clarify the main issue - The grandfathered accounts may be borked like mine is. The new leveling system is suppose to allow the crafting and gathering skills to level independently. According to the new system, I should be able to keep my armorcrafting where it is at 88, and bring up one of my other crafting skills up to 60.

The game allows the skills (crafting vs gathering) to be leveled independently, and yet, because I have two gathering skills above 40, I am unable to bring up another crafting skill to 60... because the two (crafting vs gathering) are not 100% independent of eachother, even though they're supposed to be according to Beren.

Yeah, when I stayed within the given limits it all worked fine.

Once I fell outside those limits I found they are actually combined as well. The same thing happens once you use a crafting certificate (I forget the exact name of them) to allow you to take a craft or gathering skill past the given limits, which is what my new toons on Mithras did/are doing.

Your level 60 gathering skill is blocking your crafting skill.

You have 2 options:

- Downgrade the gathering skill
- Wait for crafting expansion tickets
