how do i demote a gathering or craft?

I couldn't decide what craft i would use the most. i had thought carpentry because of the staffs, but then i realized that i really need alchemy. it is a very hard decision when you can only max one. however, i got my wood gathering skill over 20. now i realize that i should have raised mining - mainly because it will help me for the first 40 levels of alchemy.

so how do i demote wood gathering? i read where you can demote it, but i can't find anything on how to go about doing that.

figured it out, sorry. in case anyone else needs the answer, you go back to the woodcutting instructor.

Umm... Not exactly sure how to demote crafting and gathering stuff as I'm not a crafter or gatherer, but I'm pretty sure you can have multiple crafts at lvl 40. And also, alchemy only has to be at 40 because that's where the best buff pots are at. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong.

You may demote a craft or gathering certification by talking to the correct NPC.

I would suggest that you be Very sure of whether you need to do this before going through with it. The list of craft possibilities can be found here.
