if you go warden/druid, you will want to gear and stat like a mage. most of your dps will come from white hits (however you will be using a staff so really slow swings) other skills are not really as useful to dps. you will have more surviveability than a mage but depending on if you throw in stamina/hp/defense stats, you might not have as much pdef as you would from wearing chain gear and stating as a dps wd/w or wd/s. your chop heals become aoe party heals.
Just to add to this. Bilalab is correct that if you want to get the most out of WD/D, you stat like a mage due to Earth Spirit Essence which adds magic damage to normal swings of your weapon. That being said, you can still play a WD/D with "normal" warden chain/axe gears and be just fine solo (the magic component of Earth Spirit Essence will hit less but all your other skills - like Charged Chop - will hit for more).
The combination of Warden/Scout/Druid is actually a VERY good set of combos for end game in that:
Warden/Scout does high damage and is almost always welcome in an end game instance (due to Morale Boost)
Warden/Druid (when statted like a mage) can be devastating in PVP
Warden/Druid (when statted like a tank) are VERY hard to kill
Scout/Warden does high burst damage for end game instances (and Forest Guidance provides a nice boss debuff).
Scout/Warden has several nice skills for PVP (Charged Chop knock down effect and Hide Scent)
Druid/Scout is probably the easiest healer to learn (that is still effective)
Druid/Warden is one of the best healers in the game (and comes with Mysterious Grace that buffs all magic damage users).
