What happened to this? Been almost 2 years.

It's high time that the siege wars dropped their beta status. The most important thing for us at the moment is to reduce the number of connection drops and the amount of lag as much as possible. Thanks to your help in the most recent tests, we're a good step closer to our goal, a target we would like to meet this spring. Another point on our to-do list, even if it doesn't count towards changing the status, is to work on a sophisticated system for allocating opponents. We've also got plans for a new map and attractive rewards to add to the fun of the siege wars.

Of course, we realise that many of these things were already announced for last year. Unfortunately, however, we had a number of setbacks in the form of staff shortages and unexpected issues. In the case of the siege wars, for example, we had difficulty predicting just how the servers would cope with the greater load, as it was impossible for us to simulate this accurately. Your support was instrumental to us in this event, and as a result we plan for greater involvement for you in the future.

It's really shit that the top Siege War in US is basically a 6v6 Arena with a bigger map and objectives that detract from actually PvP fighting...

Still no response??? I even waited a few days after the holidays. Wanted to avoid that excuse. But I guess since this thread regards GF's promise of transparency y'all can't use your standard: "We don't know, we'll ask." and never come back to the topic :lol:

P.S. Tbh, not trying to rip on the GM team. I know you guys are just mopping after an elephant with diarrhea that iis GF Management. Between a rock and a hard place?

Right, so somehow we went from "dear gameforge, why is siege still in beta two years later" and other junk that LOL we all kinda guessed wouldn't work out, and then compared it to a pasted screenshot of Iso asking players with unhappy event feedback to use the forums. So you're not happy with the feedback speed of our community managers? Neither am I, but I still can't force them to respond to you. And since you HAAAAATE it when the GM team replies like "I'll email/forward your question/post to the CoMa/GF" we didn't waste your time or ours with it (but spoiler alert, we did email the CoMas about it since HAHAAA that's what we do).

I'm not sure how you conflated this screenshot about the snowlands event with your thread about how siege is still in beta. It's not unreasonable for Iso to ask for event feedback in this way, since we have our attention split 50 ways or more during live events. A posted suggestion can be handled more effectively than chatspam on the server.

I don't have the answer to your question in this thread. I will not give you answers I don't have, or guesses for that matter. I've already tried to hook you up with people who might have the answer, but HURRR HAR HAHAHAAAA yeah the GMs never respond to forum posts or do anything about them. It doesn't matter to you if I reply with "question forwarded" or don't reply, and then you have "the one time [you] lose [your] cool" and come up with this sh- ...stuff. And that, in a nutshell, is why I wonder. In this thread, there's nothing I or my team could do different that would be better. Also, more spoiler alerts, the CoMas probably won't ever reply, or won't have a tidy answer for you. But you already knew that huh?

PS nice try at avoiding the holiday season, but jokes on you - at Gameforge the first week of January is still generally an off week. Ah, to be European.
