Siege war shooting through castle walls

Hello, i would like some answers and opinions about Wd/s skill Anti-Magic Arrow, since it allows the player to shoot other people through castle walls in siege wars, me and some guildies have been victims of this, but we are not sure if this is allowed or if its "normal".

What makes us confused, is that even if u are in a complete wall without holes, Anti magic arrow will still hit you, even if u are in the 2nd floor behind inner gate, it still hits you. Can check the SS on the place where i died, the enemy was outside the wall.

I'm going to give my opinion that this is fair game as long as it is not being used to damage guild siege buildings (IE: Farm, Stable, etc).
Shady, but fair.

Here's my reasoning.

Flame towers/Electric Towers can shoot through walls/gates/guild castle roofs. Even though these towers shoot through walls, players utilize them to do so. IIRC people tried to get the act of placing towers on your castle's roof declared an exploit which it was not. So if a tower can shoot through a wall, why not a player?

Mage's t-storm is a vertical cone that can hit the corners of your castle from ground level, be placed through a gate, and be cast at your castle's roof to destroy towers up top. Was this declared an exploit? Nope

So, it's perfectly fair to place defenses with the intent of having them shoot through walls. It is also perfectly okay to utilize skills that ignore LOS to shoot through walls provided that your target is an enemy tower or player. If a guild building like your stable, throne, etc is being destroyed though, then there's a problem.

This is just like the whole Face of treachery situation that happened a few years back. Stacking treches on a gate would kill it in about a minute. It was indeed shady and not intended but it was ruled fair game until it was fixed. The most you can do is wait for the walls to have their "solidness" fixed or the LOS issues on said skills fixed. Whichever comes first.

i get ur point, damaging a player its not that bad since he can just ress up, but its annoying and not fair since the enemy get merits from your death and you have to rebuff again.


in the case of mages, they must have a tiny space to be able to land the thunderstorn pass gate
in the case of towers they only hit 1000 or less i think, antimagic arrow hit for 80k or 50k depending on ur defense
The main problem is, u cant be safe in ur own castle even behind a wall, that means you cant place up defenses or anything, you can heal up against a flame or lightning tower, but a wd/s skill will kill you or drop ur health badly

Towers aren't about the damage. It's their upgraded effect that matters. Fear for flame towers and silence for electrics.

The Anti-magic arrow is only one of many skills that can hit through walls....unfortunately. See Cloakedschemer above. He mentions Warlock, but my experience is that Champs are just as bad if not worse. And a warlock/Champ or Champ/Warlock, I'm surprised they did not give them the ability to walk through walls as much as they ignore them. W/e, just kill them before they get there.

any skill that has been converted magical -> physical or vice versa due to elites will hit through walls (i don't know of any exceptions off the top of my head).

Nearly every class has skills that can go through walls. It has been a complain among players for a long time, but hasn't really been adressed by the developers.

While I would like to say "players shouldn't do this", the fact of the matter is that between lvl 50 alts protecting gates and towers, what should be one sided sieges ending after 15minutes get dragged out a full hour. Shooting through walls is the only way to prevent this. Unfortunately, the corrallary to this is that people will shoot through walls even when it is unnecessary.

You guys forgot about everyone's beloved Chiron, sitting inside your castle like 250 range away from anywhere a player can stand and shooting you for 250k =/

Every class combo has a way to 'hit thru the walls'. Is it realistic? heck no. Is it necessary? heck yes because of lightning and flame towers both for defensive purposes and to help deal with those defensively placed, not to mention high energy barrier/defense net/other gate buffers. Is it super infuriating? You better believe it(I know as I have been hit many many times behind a wall). Can the main buildings be attacked from outside the walls, yes. Should you? Absolutely not. The catapults on the castle wall are fair game though.

Here is a tip: To help find out if a skill with go thru the walls-enter Malatinas Course of Terror, get the barrier tiles to change, immediately try the skill(there is about 2 sec window). If it hits, it goes thru walls. If 'cannot see target' message appears the skill has a line of sight check and will not go thru walls.

Siege seems to be different or something. Two of my skills that don't have LoS in siege do have LoS outside of siege, including in the guild castle.
