Scout &amp; Mage Balancing

As previously mentioned, the scout and mage classes will be the first to receive a balance. We're happy that we can now finally share with you a sneak peek at which skills Runewaker is looking to tweak.

Two things to remember when reading these. One, these adjustments are not set in stone and are subject to change upon the final release. And two, these are only some of the skills that they are looking to balance; more skills will be receiving changes than what is listed here. Enjoy!

Scout:

* Vampire Arrows
The initial damage has been changed from a fixed amount to a percentage of ranged weapon DPS. Thus the damage will now increase along with the equipment of a player to make it a viable skill even at higher levels.
o Before (Lvl 1-65): Inflicts 23.5 &#8211; 306.1 points of damage and additionally consumes 16 - 536 HP from the target every 2 seconds for 10 seconds.
o After (Lvl 1-65): Inflicts 55% - 269.5% ranged weapon DPS and additionally consumes 16 - 536 HP from the target every 2 seconds for 10 seconds.

* Archer&#8217;s Glory
The duration of the skill has been significantly reduced to match it to other similar skills and buffs. The bonus to attack speed has been reduced.
o Before: For 60 seconds increases Ranged Weapon Attack Speed by 20% and Ranged Weapon Damage by 8%, but lowers Movement Speed by 80%.
o After: For 20 seconds increases Ranged Weapon Attack Speed by 10% and Ranged Weapon Damage by 8%, but lowers Movement Speed by 80%.

* Snipe
The casting time and the damage of the skill has been modified. It is now easier to use this skill in the attack sequence of the scout.
o Before (Lvl 1-65): 4 seconds casting time. Deals 200% - 850% ranged weapon DPS plus 100 &#8211; 750 damage.
o After (Lvl 1-65): 3 seconds casting time. Deals 250% - 1225% ranged weapon DPS plus 100 &#8211; 750 damage.

Mage:

* Elemental Catalysis
The effect has been modified to make it more powerful and useful.
o Before: For 20 seconds magical damage is enhanced by 20% and every 2 seconds 2% Mana is regained.
o After: For 20 seconds magical damage is enhanced by 20% and casting time is reduced by 50% (level 65).

* Elemental Weakness
The skill no longer decreases the target&#8217;s resistances but now affects the magical defense.
o Before (Lvl 1-65): Decrease all the target's resistances by 30 - 420 points for 30 seconds.
o After: Decrease the target's magical defense by 10% for 30 seconds.


Bug fixes are also being addressed. While it is obvious that some of those nasty buggers need more time to be tracked and hunted down, others are easier. At some point however they will be caught, just like the few examples here that I&#8217;ve taken the liberty to rip out of the &#8220;fixed with Patch 4.0.0&#8221; reporting sheets:

* [Skill] Informer (Rogue)
Description: Informer should not overwrite the effect of Energy Influx (Mage) anymore.

* [Elite Skill] Valiant Shot (Warden/Scout)
Description: When Centaur's Arrow is activated it was very hard to cast this skill. This skill should now have an automatic attack option.

* [Elite Skill] Poison Trap (Rogue/Mage)
Description: Poison Trap no longer overwrites the Poison debuff.

* [Elite Skill] Wood Spirit's Grasp (Rogue/Warden)
Description: The elite skill now raises the damage of Power of the Wood Spirit as intended. The damage wasn&#8217;t working properly before.

* Gathering quests at Elven Island
Description: Gathering quests couldn&#8217;t be completed on Elven Island unless the gathering skill was already 20 or higher. This blocked players from obtaining all titles. It has now been corrected.

* Grace of Life / Touch of the Unicorn
Description: It is no longer possible to stack Grace of Life and Touch of the Unicorn in certain circumstances.

* [Kalin Shrine] Regin
Description: The encounter should now work properly. Regin will now return to battle instead of spawning monsters endlessly.

* Disappearing relationships
Description: The problem that relationships were lost after logout or crashing should be fixed.
