Warden balancing in Patch 4.0.1.2412

Dear Runes of Magic players,

On June 16th we made history once more by rolling out the red carpet and releasing Chapter IV – Lands of Despair into the wide fields of our community who thankfully greeted the new challenges by digging right into it.

In advance to Chapter IV we granted you a good bunch of previews what’s waiting for you and the Community Management took a heavy focus on giving you a very early first impression on class balancing in form of snippets.

Today it’s time to pick up those loose ends and give you a small preview into a special content within patch 4.01 before the actual release: the Warden balancing! After a number of classes already received their first balancing the Wardens were left untouched. The next logical step was that this class would be following afterwards in the next bigger content patch.

The Warden will take a more effective role as both damage dealer and secondary tank by having his skills being adjusted. This will give the Knight a valuable assistant and allow groups in instances to use different tactical aspects.

A large number of skills have been adjusted to deal more damage and be overall more effective while the less useful skills and/or functions have been removed.

The overall survivability and base attributes of the Wardens’ companions have been increased and strengthened as well- Companions are now able to assist their masters with passive abilities.
Please note that these are once more only a few examples of the whole and that classes/class combinations and their respective skills in Runes of Magic may be balanced or tweaked whenever necessary.

And here are the snippets:
 • Alle Companions: Strike Back Mode changed name to Counterattack
 •
Changed to: when activates the companion will assist the Warden by attacking the Wardens target automatically, too.
• Warden

 • Charged Chop
 •
Until now the range of attack has been too small, causing the issue of not being able to attack a target again for a while and damage being reduced. Players still need to get close to the target to activate the skill but the effect will now still hit the target it fit is within 150 range.
• Warden/Scout
 •
Centaur’s Arrow
 • This skill now sports an additional effect: an arrow infused with the Strength of the Centaur. Inflicts 35 points of physical damage to the target. When the target has been missed the physical critical chance of the Warden will be increased by 200 points until the next critical hit is being made. (right mouse click for auto attack)
• Warden/Warrior
 •
Double Chop
 • The additional reduction of mana costs has been removed fort he following skills. The skill itself now required mana instead of wrath and increases the wrath regeneration by 30% for 15 seconds. The skill is now an aggro skill and rises with the skill level accordingly. The skill now has a 3 seconds cooldown.
•
Will attack
 • Based on the damage per second of the mainhand weapon inflicts within a range of 75 80% (Level 67: 401.6%) of damage & reduces the dealing damage of the targert by 10% for 7 seconds.
Patch 4.0.1.2412 is already waiting around d the corner and will contain even more than the adjustments of the Warden. We’re looking forward to release the complete patch notes and the release date as soon as possible.
The title of your post does NOT say it all.
