New Forums - Let's put them to work!

Welcome to the new, improved, shiny forums of Runes of Magic!

As announced here, we did some scrubbing and shuffling around and here is a little summary of what we did:

Where did this thread go?

Old, outdated threads and solved/closed threads have been archived and removed. This is a fresh start and that is where you as a community need to step in to post, post, post to your heart's content :)

Have a look at the new structure and find the section your post might best fit in. Removal of older threads does not mean we ignore them. Every useful feedback, suggestion and criticism you provided has been read and heard and forwarded. However if you feel as if something went missing that you did need to discuss further on, please feel free to open a new thread if no remaining thread can provide you a place to continue.

All this, of course, within our updated forum rules. Please read those carefully, before posting.

Why is Palenque here on the US EN side?

As announced, we listened to your feedback and while we can not change the Item Shop language, we wanted to give all EN speaking players of Palenque a place to meet and discuss. Thus, you will now find Palenque in our new and overhauled server forum section together with all the other servers.

Where did the Billing issue section go?

To be honest, where it belonged... gone. We on forums can not assist you with any billing related issues as we do not have access to the necessary tools to help you and check in on the problem. So us telling you to go to our support was only adding to the aggravation. Only our support staff can help you with any billing or diamond or account related matters. A small support guide gives you tips on how to contact them for assistance.

Together with this, the technical section got merged into one. Please do not report billing issues in technical section, as explained above. Our team will happily try to assist you to the best we can with any technical issues here on forums. If we can not help you any further or as you expect, please contact our support. All recent technical guides are currently under review and will be re-posted soon.

If a technical issue thread is missing and you still need assistance please re-open your request with a new thread or contact our support.

What happened to all the bugs we reported?

They have been forwarded after being reviewed by our QA and after being verified as a bug. They are not GONE gone. However we overhauled the bug section as you can see, and we need everyone to follow a certain template from here on out for reporting new bugs. Adjusting the old threads would have simply taken too much time considering they have already been reviewed and forwarded. Please report all bugs you find from now using our new template and forum structure and we will work on them.

Post Count and Forum Titles

Post Count is no more. And will not return. We are aware that some of you achieved an incredible high post count and were proud of it. We also are aware that some users relied on the post count of others to see if their post might be honest, helpful or valid. This will probably be the hardest part to get used to for some of our community. There will be no more forum titles related to post count and there will be no more post count. Forum titles can be achieved through contests in the future and the quality of a post matters more then the post count it generates. We are more then thankful for all our helping users who invest a lot of time on forums and gained a reputation as helpful, reliable players. You will not loose that reputation just because the post count is gone.

That said, give it some time to let the new layout grow on you :) It might be rough at first, but this simplified structure will be easier to navigate and you will feel at home again sooner then you think. We gladly take any feedback in our suggestions and feedback sections. Tell us what you think in our new constructive feedback section!

A forum guide to help you get used to the new layout and structure is currently in the works and will be posted in our guide section as soon as it is done.

Time for action, get to posting :)

I wanted to thank Dio and her team for a job well done! Was a pleasure running around like a headless chicken while hammering walls into place. *snickers*

Can we access this archive? Looks like posts only go back a few months now which means thousands of threads are gone. Yea, some portion of those were no longer relevant, but many of them still were. Google still shows hits on old threads but clicking on them gives an error message "No Thread specified". This may go away once Google updates but it was pretty disappointing today to not get the answers I was looking for when I could see they used to be there.

Ah well, guess the questions will just have to be asked and answered all over again.
