Don’t you remember? It was
three years ago, and the Runes of Magic team was in labour. Sweat and joyful tears were streaming down their faces. The birth of their most auspicious child was scheduled for
March 19th. The pregnancy, aka beta, had already made everybody eager for this event, and after some hours of pushing and stress, it was finally done: The child called
Runes of Magic was born into North America, to rise like a shooting star in the dark sky of
free-2-play. A
triple-A MMORPG was the goal, and our
great community, along with the RoM team here at Frogster and at Runewaker, made it come true. Together, we have watched RoM learn to walk and become as
creative, independent and strong as we’d wish every child to be.
So today we’d like to start a
week-long celebration to congratulate our not-so-toddly toddler, Runes of Magic, on its third birthday!
We have prepared many happenings and more for you, the community. Here’s a rough overview:
- Frog Event: As a traditional Runes of Magic celebration, Runewaker provides you with the Frog Event.
- RoM Honour Tourney: 32 contestants per server can battle it out under the careful watch of their CM – may the best player win!
- Helping Hands will appear on every server from the 19th to the 27th of March to offer you either a two-hour drop rate bonus or a clearance of your death debt.
- Special shop promotions: Have a close look at the Item Shop this week! There will be some enticing special offers during our birthday week.
- 3 new likes/1 new follower on Facebook/Twitter: For every 3 new likes on Facebook and every new follower on Twitter, you’ll get a 1% TP bonus from the 23rd to the 25th of March 2012 (up to a maximum of 333%).
- Home is where the heart is: We’ve prepared some Runes of Magic Facebook timeline covers! Show us and your friends that home is where the heart is: in Taborea!
- Your house as the location for the after party! Decorate your house in the most festive way possible, then provide us with a screenshot and a short note explaining why your house would be the best spot for an after party on the 26th of March! We will select one house for our big after party!
