this really is simply the greatest thing posted on this forum since someone made a kill all p/s addon. just take like 30min trolling around google and actually learning what is possible and what is not. (actually..do it. google. gogogo. or hotbot or w/e). play with snort for a few mins and see what traffic is going to and from RoM and what isnt coming from "client-to-client" hax0rs that 'RoM detect™' isnt detecting. the side effect is the smell around a lot of posts gets reallly...bovine-esque.

it wont stop the constant "hack more nubs!" catcalls in siege (aka..mmo mating call) but it might stop the "hack more nub..theres no ferret-on-a-stick skill for mage! moran! frapsed and reported!" stuff.

i see at least 10,000x more call of hax than actual hax currently in rom...and for quite possibly some of the stupidest things ive ever read since..well, re-reading my own forum post history.

Learning is truly half the battle! then we can all get on with the p/s burning at the stakes and have some real mob violence for once...on the ones who are our true enemy.

Gotta agree with Paz on this. There is no reason in hell we should allow how to exploit/glitch in siege become common knowledge on these forums. Like the eye of true knowledge hidden inside textures - no, that should NOT be shared. The less people who know about it, the better. Showing people *how* to do it on these public forums will NOT help people be prepared or defend against them. Instead, it'll cause MORE people to use them. And admittedly, even I don't know how to do it, and I don't feel the need to. I know it exists, I know it *can* be intentional. I don't need to know how.

Same with walking into someone's castle through unloaded walls. I've never done it, I've never had the opportunity to do it, nor do I want to/feel the need to have anything like that happen. Honestly, the excuse of "oh I didnt know where the castle was and I walked right in" is BS. If the enemy's walls are missing on your screen, you dont go where their castle SHOULD be, and then be surprised you're suddenly inside. Its complete BS. People KNOW where the castles at. Theres a good distance between the castle and any surrounding areas, bridges, towers, etc. I don't buy that excuse.

Lastly, yes there are some legit tricks, like a rogue walking past an eye of true knowledge in hide, a mage not getting feared by flame towers, a priest putting down towers in 1 second, or someone capping a tower at the last minute amongst several of the enemy's defenses. These are not hacks/cheats, but I also feel like they don't need to be shared. People can know they exist, thats fine, but out of sheer competitiveness, I wouldn't post HOW to do it. Its different from the illegal stuff mentioned above.

So now, don't start a "know-how to cheat" post/thread/topic. Its just not the smart thing to do, and instead of people being more defended against those cheats/exploits, more people will be using them.

The reason why I agree with Paz & Ravesden is mainly because a while ago when there was a duping incident on Grimdal (50% of the server got perm-banned). So do not put yourself at risk of losing your account and disappointing your friends.

The reason why those people got banned was because one person shared how to do it.

if you wanted to see what can and cant be done there is some youtube vids,watching these might allow people to see what can be done.as for anything else chances are there is a legit way to do this.knowledge is a dangerous weapon .what most people dont know is there is only a small number of things that can be haxed.some are saying we shouldnt share info, i am suggesting sharing legit things and nothing else.if someone calls hax wouldnt you feel better knowing you proved your side with a few words instead of complaining about it and not proving that what you did is legit.

the reason those people got banned is because they were duping items a crystal clear violation of any games rules.

clean tier 20 weapons was at least subtle. gotta give credit where it's due
