Chapter V – Fires of Shadowforge is bringing a fresh crop of adventure to the world of Taborea. With lots of new content, expansions, and improvements coming on the 12th of June and throughout the year, the ever-popular Runes of Magic will have you glued to your computer screens!
Together with the launch of the new chapter on the 12th of June, 2012, we have taken a necessary new approach towards improving the in-game economy and game balance. These two aspects need to be adjusted simultaneously because they are dependent on one another as elements of the complex system of equipping your character in Runes of Magic.
Chapter V – Fires of Shadowforge will be the springboard to a new and improved gaming experience. Together with the developer Runewaker, our teams from Game Improvement, Community Management, and Production are working to expand and revise the game’s content, in order to deliver you the best gaming experience possible.

The first step will be a fundamental revision of our Item Shop offers, including a complete overhaul of the pricing system for virtual goods in RoM. We want to deliver more value for your money, provide a more fun shopping experience, as well as create a fairer balance in the game and improve the in-game economy.
Because a complete listing of all the changes would be far too extensive, we’ve included a few examples from our lists:

Prices were increased for certain items due to their high practical value, and we in no way want to withhold this information from you:



In addition, the previous daily specials will be replaced with “Happy Hour” promotions, where an item will be reduced to 50% off on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays from 5-10pm PDT.
A further change affects the Ruby Bonus. This will now be a compensation for purchasing items without a discount only.
A drastic, yet absolutely necessary change affects the Diamond promotions. In the future, there will still be the extra 100% and more promotions, however only depending on the condition of the in-game economy. This step is necessary because we want to offer you a stable in-game economy, fair auction house prices, and a better gaming experience.
These adjustments will be made during our server maintenance on Tuesday, June 12th 2012.

After the Items Repricing launched in mid-June, we got many questions and comments from you, our honored players. Among all the feedback, a recurring request regarded the possibility to buy some very popular items as a single unit, and not only in stacks.
Following this feedback, we decided to apply the following changes :


1) Megaphones are available in the Diamond shop as a single unit.
Stacks of Megaphones see their Ruby-Bonus increased by 50%.


2) Transport Runes (three different types) are available in the Diamond shop as a single unit again.
Stacks of the different Transport Runes see their Ruby-bonus increased by at max. 60%.

Actually, there is associated title with it. If you buy 2000 of 1-phirius-token packages you get the title "Avid Shopper" which gives permanent 4% diamond discount and 4% ruby bonus when you shop while having it equipped.
