we can say we know... i put very black and white in my post the two REASONS why prices were lower then. Neither of which exist now. I know you wanna be able to close your eyes, grab your magical unicorn and sing kumbaiya, but that doesnt mean it will happen.

Let me walk you through the rational.

1) how many diamond sellers do you see a day? Do you think diamonds in the AH will have people buying more diamonds?

So supply will stay the same.

2) How many people are usually looking for diamonds? Do you think diamonds in the AH will reduce the number of people wanting to buy?

So demand will stay the same.

So if supply and demand stay the same, there is only one other factor. Which is the want to get as much for your Real life dollar as you can....

3) has that changed?

Your comment about it being more competitive relies on there being lots of people selling and undercutting each other, see point 1.

Again you can wish all you want. I hope your bubble wont burst soon... but it probably will

Back to topic!

to make sure i didnt miss this in my posts. i Do think the AH is a good idea. I have long been an advocate of it to fight off people getting ripped off by diamond sellers so big thumbs up there. It is good to hear that they have fixed the gold spammer issue that kept diamonds out of the AH as well (TAKE THAT). It will make it that you can now buy 10 diamonds here, 10 diamonds there and save them up.

I dont think it will cause a huge drop in prices, but it is a good step and certainly in the right direction. The reducation of trades, was something for business to keep running, a good decision.

My one big thought/concern/hope (and since Dionea is here and i havent gotten to check it yet, i hope if it isnt this way she will make it happen), that there isnt the 6% for selling through the AH. There wasnt when they were first in there and i hope it is the same

This is great news for new players I think. Now they can sale diamonds on AH even if level 1 -- prior to this they wouldn't have been trusted and forced to gift diamonds before receiving gold, with the chance to be scammed of course. I think this really will open up the diamond trade, and also hopefully reduce the WTB Dias spam we see way too much of almost every Friday/Sat/Sun when good sales.

I don't think it will change the price much in either direction.

The nerf to the diamond NPCs does seem like a greedy move, they were already so darn low, but it was nice to be able to get some +16 jeweles yesterday with what I had saved up since the start of those NPCs... also was nice to buy a puri here and there on my alt to sale shell stats. Pretty upset over this one actually, but with diamonds on the AH, I guess I'll be happy, assuming there are still a lot of people playing that buy diamonds these days.

Choose the second tab in the auction house.

Make your offer.

And send it.

If you have AAH installed, you might need to deactivate the addon until it was adjusted to the change.

I don't believe AAH can handle dias sale/purchase yet. Remove add-on until this gets fixed.

ohh and before there is another post by you on something i am sure you are gonng think of. "day late and a dollar short", it should have quotations cause i dont want you to think i am accusing you of being an actual day late. I have come to the conclusion hyperbole is missing in most of culture today and is widely not understood.
