The reason sub based games last long is quality and services they provide to their customer base. In other words its "Value for money" that matters not the amount of money you need to spend.

Not all subscription games made it trough... many seeking/making changes...

We are 3rd day in SYS-land, with no blue letter folks to tell us for how long. All we know they confirmed the problem, but no word on when is going to be fixed, and no word - HOW DID THIS GET RELEASED without being properly checked.

Was the diamond NPC just brought into place to try make us forget that you stopped us from trading zeevex and the backlash it created (many on our server quit over that issue) and now that its kinda passed your phasing out the diamond NPC again? ....... Looks like that to me anyhow

I am curious, how much game gold does EU pay per diamond now, and how much did you pay aproximatly 3-6 months ago. Has the Diamond trading in the AH been good or bad.

In AU we don't have it and some don't want it and some do. We were usually paying 10k per dia outside of guildy prices, now its 15k per since many sellers left the game, rubys still around 5k per.

The "price per" option doesn't work, and show the total price instead. While there are ones going for insale prices, most average at about 70k per.

On Mac (ENEU), have seen WTB at 50k to 60k per dia & WTS at 50k to 70k per dia after dias in AH patch. Dias in AH patch are going for 80k each atm.

So is that something people like ?. What about those poorer people who try to play for free, like Farm KS for gold, be interested to see how it has impacted them. We hear so many storys about people having to have seperate accounts just to bot gold or people buying from gold sellers to keep up with the diamond prices. Is that much of an issue on your servers. Like last time I logged into the US and EU servers 90% of world chat was gold sellers, and most low level areas near snoops was invaded with them. Has it changed recently or at all.

That used to be low area everywhere, now fixed / taken care off.

From what I know (not EU player) many F2P announced leaving the game. Friends that I have that play on EU server are long gone from game.

Imo, it has always been hard to be a F2P. It doesn't seem to be any harder now, with the exception of perfect jewels, which has really pushed beyond my tolerances, and the slowdown in trade. But I've been able to save up a bit of gold, and I think its no problem lol.

Edit: forgot to add:
Before: Buy diamonds for 40-45kk per, buy rubies for 20k per.
Now: Buy diamonds for 69k per, free rubies. No need to buy rubies anymore. Or buy dias for 50k per and no rubies.

Free Rubys ?. Do you mean rubys with Diamond shop purchases ?. Sorry for sounding dumb, but on the AU server we had a big change recently with our GMs leaving and now being run remotely we have a different ruby bonus system to before, many changed prices and items, and everyone that stored rubys got the royal screw when they increased ruby item like 5-10x the old value and didn't readjust the rubys all the players had saved.

There are still barely any rubies because 90% of the stuff we buy gives no ruby bonus (sale items). So to be honest the diamonds in the AH thing is seriously suck. I'd rather have an unnerfed Cedric at this point. Buying diamonds off the auction house is idiotic with the prices people are putting them up there for.

it seems that gear and diamonds have outrageous prices on ah..........i wonder why?

I mean "free rubies" in the sense that, as F2P, when we buy diamonds off other players before, they didn't send us the rubies. If you wanted rubies, you had to buy them seperately. Now that you can buy them off AH, we can get the rubies if we buy items that do have rubies.

Ah yeah that is how it is with the AU server now too, they give us something new and took something away, being told its to make a stable ecconomy, but in AU we had a stable ecconomy, these changes they made upset the ballance, instead of finding the best between EU, US and AU thy took the lazy way out and made a single system based off one region. I think most people will still spend the same money on the game reguarly, like if I bought 1000 diamonds I would still spend it when the right specials are on, difference being now is they are favouring those who spend in the shop off special. Thats ok for those employed and can afford the cost of the game. The only reballance was the token shop.

I've played the game for 1 year now, and I have spent more money in that time as I have with my previous game in 8 years. If this game lasts a few years long I probably wont be here as an endgame player, the costs regearing and statting every chapter is too much for many honest playing people that do their best to be free players. For me anyhow I dont mind spending money when I can, so I only buy on specials, losing the ruby bonus has impacted on me in a big way and to top it off all the rubys I saved since started playing have been devalued cause they increased the cost of ruby items without readjusting my ruby collection. Overall at this point I am worse off and wont be easy to recover from.

So... doesn't this make Cedric pretty much pointless (though he already kinda was)? *facepalm*
