It might help to know that this isn't an aggro issue, the lookouts and bandits (big black ants) have a variety of skills that randomly target someone in the party. You could be standing in back and not doing a thing and it'll slap you silly. If it charges in your direction, immune, or have healer bubble, if it shadowsteps you, swap gear if you get chained and your party can't burn it or healer can't heal you through the DoT. Else sit tight and twiddle your fingers.

Champions have huge aggro generation, sometimes our ch/r just dpses as tank and doesn't even pay attention to aggro meter because his dps rotation generates enough aggro.

IMO, the nature of this game is gear modification. So a hardcore DPS type can be so well geared that a tank has little to no way hold his aggro. It doesn't mean your tank sucks. So essentially no two parties aggro mitigation is going to be the same, and no two rogues or mages ECT gear is going to be the same, so we need Recons and hatreds to adjust for the gear mods.

Honostly putting the shield on sale is just placing a middle man in the operation. (The shield's are gonna be used to create a recon) So like someone else said, just put the recon VII back in item shop for 125 dia. It's the quickest/most effortless way of "fixing" aggro for some people.

Replying to the original post, not more recent replies:

I voted yes here, but not because I think Reconciliation are a good idea (or Hatred for that matter). But since we have reconciliations already, and most of the end game folks get them in some form or another anyway, then I don't see reason to have it be so difficult to obtain.

If it were my call, Recon/Hatred probably never would have existed to start with -- or at least not in a form similar to what's here now. But once you've given players an item, taking it away is basically impossible. So no need to make the price so steep.

I have to agree, the easiest way of fixing this is going to be just putting the recon VII in the item shop. Simple fix.

Recon VII sale please! Even know on m/w skill Activate mana lowers aggro and I can DPS, on my m/p I can't really DPS as each time I try I will pull aggro :(. So once again Recon sale please.

just my opinion but ALL items should be in the item shop ALL the time.not just abls and such everything but x runes as these can be made in game.when a sale is up then the players can see what the sale is.now i can see special items like costumes and mounts not being in the item shop but regular things that players want and use will sell whether on sale or not.they just sell more when on sale.an item shop that does not have the standard things that players use and want all the time does not make any sense to me.anything related to upgrading gear and weapons except x runes should be available all the time.look in our ah pickings are pretty slim.............and try to get pugs for rt and kt it just isnt happening like it used to. plz just try for 2 months and see if the revenue goes up.people are willing to pay more for items that are not on sale when they want them.

I put my vote in saying 'No, and I’m a DD or Healer with no Reconciliation Rune above Tier IV'. The only reason for that is because I feel that instead if selling those runes it'd be better to open up all the rune recipes so that we can craft the runes ourselves. Not just the runes in question here but all runes to be opened up for crafting. If it's not going to happen where the recipes are going to be opened up for us to be able to craft the runes then I would have my vote changed to saying 'Yes, and I’m a DD or Healer with no Reconciliation Rune above Tier IV' instead of 'No'.

Why is ONLY the shield not for sale? It just gives wis/mdef on it's own. It's rune discrimination, stop the hate!

Shield and Advance can be combined to make Reconciliation runes, hence why Shield is as rare as Recon - And before you say then why is Advance on sale...its the best rune a magic damage class can obtain, and as you said, Shield runes themselves are complete crap.

I voted for "Yes, and I’m a DD or Healer with at least one Reconciliation V Rune or higher" but im also a tank with a hatred X rune.
I fairly new to playing runes of magic compared to most big players on my server (indigo) but even tanks with 2 hatred X runes strugled to keep agro off me when i had only one recon rune, while older players have few aggro issues even when tanks have no or low tier hatred runes.
Additionaly older players who have left over recon/shield runes are able to sell them for insane prices because newer players simpily cannot get them otherwise, this throws out any chance of keeping the in game market stable.

I'm a tank that would like to be able to focus on all aspects of my character and with the inability to make half the runes without having to purchase some I feel like I have been more crippled than anything, in particular with respect to the Hatred runes, I don't understand why we have the rune transmutation if it just stops suddenly.

I vote that yes, this might as well be put back up on the AH, cause there is no other means to acquire these runes, but in reality I'd prefer to see these be accessable, I understand the effects of balance this plays on the game, but it means that the initial phase of balancing was overlooked for them and should instead be reconsidered. As it stands with only a select few having these runes already, the balance is worse off than it would be, case and point there are players that exist that do have 0 aggro gen from recon runes, these players as either DD or Heals would be infinitely more desireable to those that don't, and there's nothing that can be done about it by those that don't.

I'm a Tank With 2 Harted X with full agro going i'm exstremly hard pressed to even keep 53% aggro from over 75% of sever (artemis) this is what is holding many guilds back from even attempting instances because of the fact that if the tank cant take and hold aggro then he is not a tank no matter the description says. i may not be one of the oldest player but ive played hard to get to where i am and with the market the way it is i'm almost impossiable to get what you need with out have to spend months to get one peice of gear becuase the people who have been playing this game who have recon VIII + are able to do instances that if the tank loses aggro for one second everyone dies. my vote is yes we need recons because they dont make instances easy as pie they make them so that everyone might have a chance to do them

i am a p/s i have 2 recon VII ,and i still pull aggro sometimes.not alot but it does happen when casting .5 sec rising tide for 350k.
i hear the talk about balance but it seems to me the only place class balance is applicable is in pvp.and i know there are p/s that can do more dmg than me.it would seem to me that all runes should be in game and craftable.

IMHO,

IF Recons runes are to be placed back inside the Item mall, it should be Tier V or VI and cost about 69-89 diamonds(oh my lord, not for 12diamonds please). TIER VII just makes it too effective cost wise to make an X, and X runes completely ruins the game mechanics.

TIER VI so people can realistically make a VII-IX with ease, and X would be for the super wealthy individuals who loves supporting the F2P community. I wouldnt want to see people with TIER IX runes or higher but Runes of Magic is an item mall based game and they need to make money. I hate to see toons with only 2 weapons slots obtaining neg -agrro.


Like my guildie Parknub, he made a Raid IX for like 12k diamonds(before the VII for12d sale). so im hoping to make an Recon X recons it would cost 60k diamonds too :)




We all know 'RECONS X' IN RoM R BAD!! so dont let it be obtainable without forking a truck of dollars. Thanks.

i dont see how it can be any worse than right now, people are already at negative aggro. people run around with 2 recon 9's but some newer players cant even get a recon 7 without paying 35m+ on artemis. we have been asking for recons for a long time, they wont break or make the game. complaining about cheap recons would be like complaining about this awesome raid/fatal/wrath sale we had.

bring recons in as high as possible, BUT get the aggro management problems to runewaker nontheless (haha good joke. take a look at the patch notes of the last 1.5 years to see what RW did in that direction ...). It should not be a default case that everyone has <0 aggro, it's not good in the long run.

But you can not even start balancing unless everyone is on more or less equal terms. And i dont call Recon IX vs Recon IV , or "i can have 3 recons vs 1 can only have one recon" equal terms. And buffing-alts are NOT a valid option because thats also not the way it's supposed to be.
