Me and my girlfriend have a child. Do you believe I run everytime around her and cry "You are well known! There fall babies out of you, when will be the next time?" ;)
Every game will go down after his time, but you can see how amazing Runes of Magic is, to be alive such a long time. And new content is produced and still in produce. The fusion with Gameforge helps a lot to publish this game in our countries. A child could type "Thank you, bye bye", but you need a big staff and experience to publish a great game. And I am really sure you know this :)

The issue is not that the game is or is not being published. Any gaming company can simply publish a game; the issue the entire playerbase is having is how horrible a job Gameforge has been doing at actually appealing to the players. New content is great and all, but we have never been listened to once when we say we don't want nor care about new content, we want the current content fixed.

And we do it both. No, more than that. It's like a party in game.

Look at this awful ant, we need a knight! Yeah, a knight is important.
We need a healer, the knight is everytime down! Yeah, someone should heal him.
The knight and the healer are down, they do not enough damage! Of course, we need some damage dealer.

And some of these things have no relation with Gameforge. After reporting a bug we wait like you for a fix. And inside Runewaker it is the same like every corporation: every person has special abilities. A designer isn't a programmer. And some programmer is good in creating new code, some fix the old. All of these working every day, and we work every day, even if we wait for something.
I listen, you said you don't want nor care about new content, you want the current content fixed. I can't help you with the first part. In the nature of our game (and many like this) we will get new content and big chapters. But we will help you with the second and be glad to have a great community, reporting us bugs, we check them and forward them to Runewaker and offer you a fix, once we have it.

thing is we still have bug that have been there for over 2-3 years yet you guys never did anything to fix those... and are releasing new content with even more bug..

2nd runes of magic has one of the worst support i've ever seen... not the worst but not far from being the worst...

I know that there's alot of people working on this game and it's amazing that this game is still alive with all that happened in all those years..

And...we're straying rather off topic here.

Let's tighten up just a bit, shall we?

Thank you very much for the response nenysvor :) We know that you guys listen, but we know that once you give up the information to your superiors that, well, not always are the things we suggest taken seriously even if we have continued to report them for years.

Neither Dionaea, nor Nytefall nor Kharrma said they were leaving off playing RoM. There's the difference.

If you've forgotten what the forum rules are with regard to language, feel free to use the link in my sig for them.

I'm aware of the rules. I know you're just doing your job.

I'm also aware that rom is in distress so, may as well do something while the ship is sinking.

Dio, good luck with wherever you go to, if it is another CM position elsewhere hopefully the forwarded feedback doesn't fall on deaf ears and you have a much easier time.

The rest of you GM/CMs: I certainly hope you are ready. We expect a lot, and have yet to see any hope fulfilled.
A real sysadmin knows how to change the time.
If you make the same mistake while trying to make up for the previous one, you are doing something wrong.

As much as I'd love to say I offer consulting services, the scope of things broken is too large.

We as gamers are never satisfied with how a game works and the bugs within the game. It's our job to push the powers that be to make this game better. However there comes a point in time where all the complaining is like the little boy that cries wolf.

Far as this being a sinking ship, what you all seem to forget is this business model has changed the MMO model. Every major pay to play system has adopted a free to play aspect game. Other games have come and gone with this free to play model, yet RoM keeps plugging along so this sinking ship stuff, while some truth, is nothing more than a distraction to the conversation.

Could RoM do a better job in fixing the bugs yes of course. I'm not standing here saying this game is perfect, it's not but it's not horrible either.

Sad as this is to say moderators have a life cycle when it comes to being effective. While it's sad to see some leave it's a necessary part of the game to keep things objective. While there have been many great moderators in the game, one of the reasons is because they cycle them out to get a fresh, non-tired set of eyes on the community. It's the nature of the beast. While I'm said to see the recent crop leave, I'm looking forward to seeing what the new group can do for the community.

RoM was not the first f2p game, just a fyi. Other games, more populated, original and sustainable games have adopted the f2p model because of how much revenue it generates vs just subscription based platforms. The availability for extra type items if anything, changed how mmo's operate, items not even essential for the actual playing of the game but merely for vanity sake.

As a whole the mmos that came out between 2006-2009/10 are feeling a steady decline in player base because for most RoM was a sidetrack or a "place to go" temporarily from other larger mmos. You could probably go to any other mmos forum and find a shinking ship thread.

It's not a distraction, as the conversation isn't really opened, and that being the game dying. Why would any of the mentors or a GM want to try to dispute that on the forums. They would get annihilated. They can see the population for peak time tonight and then look at it a year ago and a year before that. That is your sinking ship answer and closes the conversation, so yea we can try to distract all we want.

BTW when is the contract from GF to RW up? :)

oh and bye dio and the other 2, thanks for assuming the role you were given to you and the one you knew you were getting into when you applied, so I wont say thanks for putting up with us because....it was your job.

Runes of Magic and many other MMO's will always hold the title is being great games.

I personally have not played RoM seriously in the past year not because it is a bad game though. Only because the population on Grimdal is too scarce to meet my requirements of population.

It is too challenging for a lot of players.

I wish I could find a game to replace RoM and I know I never will. I have tried every single game that was meant to kill RoM (and other games) and I am going to say that they will not compete with the feel RoM has. It is just too fun and challenging at the same time.

Huh, well just a note or observation Dio's original post has some overwhelming similarities to the CMs she "replaced" last year. I mean almost word for word composed the same. Hmm...
