The first server merge is complete, the servers are back online and even though the merge went smooth not everything ended up being 100% perfect.
Important: First and foremost for those who did not follow the merge situation from the very beginning:
AU-Thalia has been merged into
USA-Artemis, so
AU users should please make sure to actually select US as region in the game launcher when starting the client now.
Your account(s), as far they were
applicable to be merged are now on the US realm and the characters from Thalia can be found again on Artemis.
Some minor annoyances are currently left from the merge:
- On the very first login, your AU characters will not be shown in the character count in the server overview list. Just select Artemis and log in there anyway, your characters are all there - the counter will have updated by your second login.
- A few items that were in the auction house survived the cancellation and therefore did not end up as returned mail - they should have been manually mailed to their owners and the problem should be already gone by the time of this posting.
- Character sorting in the char selection list changed for some players - the characters were re-created alphabetically in the account; not in the order they were originally created. It is currently unclear if this will be changed again - the characters are working fine, just their order on your character list got a bit shuffled.
- Known issue: Former AU accounts will currently be prompted for their secondary password everytime they go back to the character selection screen.

Short Q&A about things that worked as intended but are currently confusing to some of the affected players:
Q: Some of my characters have a {+} in front of their name all of a sudden. What's that?
A character on your account that is tagged with a {+} in front of its' name indicates that this character requires a rename - you will be prompted to do so when you login that character. This prevents having characters with identical names on the server. The conditions of who has to be renamed were described
here.
The AU merge with US was a region/realm merge - not only characters had to be moved from the original server but the whole account.
This leads to the situation where some people have an account name from Thalia that is already in use in the US region.
The accounts coming from Thalia have -where this case applies- been renamed to avoid the problems that 2 accounts with the same name in the same realm would bring up.
The players whose accounts are affected by that should check their accounts' email address for further instructions, but in general they will simply find their accounts by adding "AU" in front of the accountname.
If "
YOURACCOUNTNAME" exists
on both AU and on US prior to the merge,
your account name from Thalia will become "
AUYOURACCOUNTNAME".
Your passwords did not change, your characters are on US-Artemis, you just need to use "AUyouraccount" instead of "youraccount" as your login name.
