The name Silberfuchs, German for silver fox, is well known among the mining kobolds. This reclusive companion will often protect and guide the kobolds along their perilous journey into the depths, and has occasionally led those deemed forever lost in the subterranean mines back to the surface. The little miners hold their grey-furred friend in the highest regard and pay their respects to him with their entire being – with reverence and enthusiasm, they swing their shovels and pickaxes in search of the glittering jewels of their earthen kingdom.
