Crafting expansions

So I noticed some of the new items during the anniversary saying they can increase the amount of legendary crafting skills you can have. It sounds like this is like the class expand ticket and maybe be able to have all crafts maxed like I've always wanted to do.

But theres 4 different scrolls for sale at different prices for different craft ranks. Do you need to get all 4 per craft? Can you just get the legendary scrolls? And does this work for crafting AND gathering?

I believe the scrolls work for crafting and gathering, but I do not know for certain. Perhaps someone else can clarify that issue.

The Legendary scroll will open up the Legendary tier but not the tiers below it.

but will it be necessary to get the lower tiers for legendaries if you just do it 1 at a time so you never actually need multiple experts/masters etc at once?

We really need a guild for this, with detail. Lots of people want to buy them but arnt sure how they work or what they need to buy. If I buy one for a lower tier do I need to get to the higher tier before I use another ticket to open it up? How do I pick which skill I want to upgrade? Please come up with a detailed guide and people will open their wallets.

So, they work for both crafting and gathering. As Yrcanos stated, they only open up the single limit, so you need to buy your way up the chain. Right click to use the item. To get your increased qualifications, talk to the appropriate instructor. There's your guide :P

Hahaha...they finally put in a reason as to why there are crafting restrictions per character (we had a recent thread on this). Anywho, I am hoping to raise my cooking skill and bought the master option.

Not sure if I did it right, but will know eventually. My current production ones are attached.

but if you worked on your legendaries one at a time youd never need to be able to have 8 experts or masters at once. Are you sure its necessary?

was asking why you would need a bunch of scrolls to have multiple craftsman/expert/master skills when you could just work each one 1-100 one at a time and never have more then one craftsman/expert/master level craft at one time but multiple at legendary at the end. It would be easier to open them all but cheaper if you can just get legendary and do it slowly.

Or is the system set up where it wont let us even build up to master again with other skills at legendary though that shouldn't effect your lower tier caps, why would it?

I think it wouldn't allow you to build up to master again because your legendary is still technically using up the master slot. The skill doesn't just vanish because it hits legendary.

So 1 legendary takes up all 4 tiers that's dumb =/
Alright then last thing I think we should outline is the total we would need to be able to max everything.

base production skills is
Craftsman-4
Expert-2
Master-1
Legendary-1

So with 6 production crafts we would need 5 Legendary, 5 Master, 4 Expert, 2 Craftsman scrolls total correct?
1144 dias total.

Math looks good. That should be the correct number of tickets needed.

However, that's not including the gatherings if you haven't maxed them on alts.

Using alts is still the cheapest way to max crafting. Not to mention this is probably just a 'temporary' sale. However, the only reason I got some of these scrolls is due to having rare recipes on one character that couldn't be crafted as a result of already being at the restriction limits.
