My FIRST thoughts on them releasing the gems more actively now :

I think it's great. I'm all about more power for my mage. However...

My thoughts about this sale and Gotchas:

I think they'll definitely only be available in Gotchas. If they sold them plain without needing to gamble in some way I'd...well it doesn't matter what I'd do cuz it'll never happen.

I refuse to buy anything in Gotchas anymore or use the Wheel of (Mis)Fortune.

Someone wake me when they're on sale as a standalone. I'm not about to break my 7 month streak of not buying diamonds for more Gotchas. They're gonna have to offer 17 - 20 gems as standalones for me to break my sobriety.

yes they are only available in gashas... :/ 38 dia for wings/armour/acces 89 dia for wep. rates are as fail as always ofc.

The value of the gasha would be reasonable if the value of other items contained in them is reasonable. If you pay 38 dias (not 39, btw) and get 30-32 dias worth of value, with a small chance of hitting jackpot, many people would consider it reasonable. If you get less than that, then they would not.

Here is a full list of items:

1) Phoenix Redemption x 2
2) Experience Potion x 5
3) Skill Potion x 5
4) Basic Daily Quest Skill Potion x 3
5) Golden Repair Hammer x 2
6) God's Redemption x 2
7) The appropriate jewel

I would not want most of those items at 38 dias, so to me, gasha is not worth it. Other people may feel otherwise.

Gashas are great, especially when it comes to plussing jewels! You have the benefit of a chance of getting a jewel and a chance of the jewel actually working! Who wouldn't want to spend 89 dias on a chance of a chance of plussing an item maybe 1 level?

Well bought twelve got :

Experience pots X 30
TP pot X 20
Phoenix redemption X 2
Basic TP potion X 3

Except for the last one the rest is just useless and XP/TP pots are the cheapest ones, could have put 70% ones or 100% at least to make it look like we ain't getting ripped off. We probably got a 3% chance of getting the jewels- randomness ROM factor, basically like that other person said 3120 diamonds spent and got 2 jewels. So should have just put them at 1500 diamonds each and be fair about it, but ah well. No one would have bought any, this way people think they have a chance of getting some, i myself prefer casino's, better chance of winning.

We have <x>% chance of getting a sale with perfect plussing in gashas.
-> Of that <x>% sale chance, we have <y>% chance of getting an actual plusser.
->> Of that <y>% chance of getting a plusser, we have <z>% chance of actually plussing an item!

History of player complaints shows that these % values are low. For those that are gambling all their diamonds and funds away for plussing needs...good luck.

"i know some guy that had 'horribly_low_rate' chance at getting the jewels"

"thats not that low, i opened X and got 1"

"well, at least you got one, i opened X and got 0"

@Suppra You can either get the +17-+20 jewels on the wheel or in gasha sales, however I think this is the first time perfect versions have been offered. In my experience the wheel is a much better way to obtain these as the other items on the wheel actually equal (or close to) the cost of diamonds used per spin, unlike spending 38 dias on a gasha to only get 30 dias worth of items... This is no surprise to me as math has never been a strong suit of the sales team at RoM.

Also the odds of getting a jewel from the wheel are much higher then from its gasha counterpart.

Perfect or not perfect is important. You can tell how likely you are to win by judging how good the jackpot is. If someone sells you ticket to $5 drawing for a used 20-year old moped, sure you might be able to get a used moped. If top prize is brand new top of the end Mercedes... don't count on it. Low odds. Same as this sale. Perfect tempered is too valuable to have them show up in 38 dia gasha.

Which is why how good a sale it is depends on value of other items. To me, they are not good value. None of them is what I would consider a "ok, no jewel, but I got something useful anyway".
