I Think These Gashas Are Great! In My Opinion I Like Having Jewles In These Gashas, I Spend About 1.5k dias and Got Two Accessories, An Armor and a Weapon Plusser. =P

I Would Always Preffer These since I Support the Gashas.

I do not know about on other servers, but on Govinda to pay for the use of 1 (successful non-perfect) +17 to +20 plus before would cost about 50 million gold and up. Before I would gamble with the wheel because who doesn't want +20 accessories/weap etc... to be able to compete with other cutting edge endgame DPS. My Hall of Earth ring took TWENTY-TWO of the wheel plusers and it was STILL at +18 because of how horrid the plus rates are already.

Last night I ended up buying 35 of the accessory gotchas and yeah the drop rate was not "great" but the jewels were at least perfect.

Ended up with 6/35 jewels. That would be approx 17% luck/drop rate on the jewels(for me at least). 1,330 dias total @75k per D's is 99,750,000 gold so that ends up being approx 16.7m per jewel with 100% success rate... compared 50mil per pluss that I was paying before.

For all of you complaining that they are being "ripped off" :
YEAH the rate getting a perfect jewel is not too ideal but YOU chose to spend the diamonds on the gashas... Gameforge did not hold anyone at gun point and demand that you gamble thousands of diamonds into the gotchas ... so it is your own fault - OH WELL.

Would be nice if you at least got some charges too or items that actually were worth 38 or 89 dias... like the +16 jewel gotchas
The gotchas are all about luck - but lets face it... you either have to gamble with the "perfect" gotchas or gamble with the fail plus rates

For me it ended up working out better price wise after having so many of the normal +20 jewels had failed.

Idk. I guess I can't justify anyone spending over 15$ to get an item from 16-17.

Yes, I know. There's extreme cases where it could be $1, but even the other side of the fence where it's 30$. Just begs the question, how much is a sub-based game?

The problem is that it does not get applied at a reasonable consistency for all buyers.
If I (everyone) got 6-35 gems I think everyone would be OK with that.
I borrowed 40 gashas from a buddy and rolled 1 gem.
Others have spent 5k in diamonds and got NOTHING.
I had my own money ready to buy dias to roll gashas, if the rate was reasonable but I won't be cashing them in now.
I hope others will follow and tell RoM that this kind of greed is not acceptable. If anything I will hold out till there a 140% dias sale and spin the wheel since my weapons + 20 anyway all I need is accessories. If I also get a few armour ones on the wheel its better than the alternative xp/tp stuff you get from perfect gashas.

Speak to Rom by saying no to investing your money into a 1/40 success rate. Simple as that.

PS
I know its hard to do cause we all want that perfect + 20 looking gear.

every single time gashas come out:

"i know some guy that had 'horribly_low_rate' chance at getting the jewels"

"thats not that low, i opened X and got 1"

"well, at least you got one, i opened X and got 0"

and people wonder why they keep releasing gashas...seriously...or any stupidly overpriced items for that matter(aka, most of the IS)...
yeap.....pretty darn accurate. add a couple more lines, and that would sum up the thread.

The ONLY way rom will change its thieving ways is for all the players to literally go on strike from buying diamonds until they repent. But, of course, it is a free country and everyone can do what they want with their money.

Slayer,

Commercial gesture?? ROFL
Communication skill?? LMAO

The only good thing we have working for us is the GM team and they are not Gameforge employees, just players like us and that love the game, Gameforge need to get a communication spoke person, an item shop person, overall they need to hire qualified people to take care of the game, but good luck with that.

The whole situation makes me sad and mad seeing how they are treating the game and community ;(

GF should make a commercial gesture for all people who spend a lots of diamond with this low rate :grumble:
Rofl, really??? Asking for remuneration of any kind for a persons failure to demonstrate some restraint? At what point do players stop QQ and take responsibility for their own actions?

The company IS making a commercial gesture. GF is saying come gamble and spend thousands of diamonds for gashas with horrible drop rates and people flocked to it. Gashas haven't changed. They have never been represented as having good drop rates and subsequently they never have had good drop rates. Sure, some players have gotten lucky in the past but that's all it has been - luck. There is no skill involved in pulling gashas, it's all RNG. The "shame on you" here doesn't belong to the company, it belongs to the players who spent thousands of diamonds this past weekend.

Compulsive gambling is a recognized disorder, so people should get some professional help if it's that much of an issue for them. Blaming others for your addiction is both childish and irresponsible.

Well, normally I would agree with you IF we were playing the game Las Vegas instead of Runes of Magic. We all didn't register to gamble in a casino, we registered to play an MMORPG, so the question is, why does RoM put so much of this 'gambling' aspect into this game? It's not just in gashas, but also in plussing jewels, housemaid pots, even in crafting when refining. Why doesn't RoM just sell the jewels at some high price like 500 dias each instead of putting them into gashas where practically every player feels like they are getting ripped off?

RoM does this for 3 reasons:

1. Jewels along with tiering is the heart of what drives this game, namely to improve your toon through gear.

2. RoM can put the failure rates at whatever ridiculous low percentage they want and make a lot more money rather than just selling them for a fixed price. These rates never have to be disclosed so no one really knows what the true cost is, other than it's a lot.

3. RoM can absolve themselves of any responsibility for, as you say, people's "childishly and irresponsible" inability to control their addictive tendencies, even though RoM is instigating this exact behavior by creating and perpetuating this "gearing casino."

But I'm sure you would argue, "hey, RoM isn't forcing you to improve your gear, it's your choice. You can be perfectly happy with gear at only +12 max." Right?!! Of course, don't expect to do any high level instance or expect to have any fun in siege, because you are just going to be slaughtered by the other guy who has more money to gamble with than you do.

The last problem is that strictly legally RoM I suppose is not offering gambling, but we all know that gashas and plussing jewels and the wheel of fortune are basically forms of gambling. We are wagering REAL money for the chance of getting some prize. I really don't see how this is different than some type of ingame raffle, and raffles are regulated by local and state governments, so I'm not sure if this is even 100% legal.
