Conditions of Participation
The following conditions cover the course of the Sixth Anniversary Baking Competition for Runes of Magic (hereafter "Competition") organised by Gameforge 4D GmbH, Albert-Nestler-Straße 8, 76131 Karlsruhe (hereafter "Gameforge").
1. Participation period
The Competition begins on 16/3/2015. The deadline for entries is 5/4/2015 (hereafter "Participation Period").
2. No entry fees
Participation is not bound to the purchase of any goods or the subscription to a fee-based service.
3. Eligibility to enter
(1) All registered users of full age at runesofmagic.gameforge.com are eligible to enter.
(2) Employees of Gameforge or companies associated with Gameforge, members of the Runes of Magic support team, or spouses and relatives thereof, may participate but are ineligible to win prizes.
4. Participants
A "Participant" is every eligible user who, during the Participation Period in celebration of Runes of Magic's sixth anniversary, sends an email (hereafter "Entry") to
event@runesofmagic.com<mailto:event@runesofmagic.com> with (i) a photograph, taken personally, of any self-made baked good with a recognisable reference to the sixth anniversary of Runes of Magic and (ii) a photograph documenting the preparation of said baked good.
5. Entry
(1) Each Entry must (i) use the subject line "RoM 6th Anniversary Cake" and (ii) detail the relevant language version, account and character name and (iii) be sent from the email address associated with the account name mentioned in the Entry.
(2) Entries sent outside of the Participation Period, and multiple entries, will not be considered.
(3) In addition, Entries may not violate applicable law or accepted standards of decency, and must be free from the rights of third parties.
(4) Entries are only admissible using the formats .jpg, .bmp, .png, .gif, .tiff and must comprise a maximum of three photographs.
6. Winners
(1) Gameforge will select six "Winners" from the Entries.
(2) Winners will be informed of their win via an email on 17/4/2015 sent to the address used for submitting their Entry.
(3) The judges' decision is final.
7. Prize
(1) The delivery of the prize requires that a valid postal address be supplied (hereafter "Address").
(2) Should a Winner fail to supply an Address by 28/4/2015, their entitlement to a prize becomes forfeit.
(3) Prizes are expected to be sent from 4/5/2015 via a service provider (hereafter "Service Provider") commissioned by Gameforge.
(4) Prizes are deemed to have been awarded to the winners with the handover of the prizes to the Service Provider.
(5) A cash disbursement and/or alternative prize in goods or the exchange and/or transfer of the prize to third parties is excluded in each case.
8. Disclaimer
(1) Gameforge, its bodies, employees, and subcontractors are liable exclusively for wilful intent and gross negligence, regardless of legal basis, and in cases of ordinary negligence, only for the violation of essential contractual obligations and limited to foreseeable damages.
(2) These limitations do not apply for loss of life, personal injury or damage to health.
9. Data Privacy
(1) Gameforge will use and process the personal data collected for the purposes of participation solely for the organisation of the Competition and in accordance with the regulations for data protection and the
Privacy Policy.
(2) This obligation includes forwarding data necessary for delivering a non-cash prize to the Service Provider.
(3) Further use and/or processing of the personal data for any other purpose will not take place.
10. Declaration of Consent
(1) The Participant consents to being notified via email by Gameforge in case of a win and for the name of their character to be announced on

(2) The Participant also consents for Gameforge to forward their Address to the commissioned Service Provider in case of a win.
11. Rights of Use
(1) Gameforge is authorised, but not obliged, to present all Entries via
http://www.facebook.com/RunesOfMagicEN (hereafter "Usage").
(2) For the purposes of Usage the Participant grants Gameforge the non-exclusive rights of use and exploitation, including the right of reproduction, and the right to make the Entry publicly accessible, free of charge and without limitation of time and place. Also included is the right to grant sub-licenses and the right to transfer the necessary rights to third parties, in as far as this is necessary for Usage.
(3) The Participant agrees that the character name detailed in the Entry when used in the contexts of the Usage is sufficient evidence of their authorship.
12. Other
(1) By sending an Entry the Participant agrees to these Conditions of Participation.
(2) In addition to the Conditions of Participation, the
General Terms & Conditions also apply (together the "Rules").
(3) Should a Participant infringe the Rules during the Participation Period, or such an infringement by proven thereafter, the eligibility may be revoked.
(4) Gameforge reserves the right to end the Competition at any time, if for technical or legal reasons its proper execution cannot be guaranteed.
(5) In the event that any individual provisions become ineffective, the remaining provisions shall remain effective and binding. Statutory rules shall take the place of the ineffective provision.
