Wow. Really?

In this thread it has been brought to the attention of GF that they are treating players differently based on their geographic location. It has been further established that GF chooses to "reward " the EU over the rest of the player based because they are considered "good players/customers".

First, if GF is not making as much money from the US market, or any other market outside the EU, then GF is doing something wrong. It's not the customer's responsibility to arbitrarily spend more so we can be seen as "good players/customers", it's the game publishers responsibility to find ways to attract more business from the other markets. Any first year business student understands this concept so lets just move on...

Not only is GF acknowledging that they are not treating ALL of their players the same, they are saying it's the fault of the volunteers? It is because of THEIR schedules that the EU is doing events and the US is not? Really?

Is this the official GF policy towards their customers? Does GF officially endorse treating players outside the EU as second-rate customers? Are we to believe that the reason the US hasn't had the events that the EU has is simply because it has been inconvenient to set them up? Was GF even considering doing events in the US before they were called to task on it on the forums? Just curious because I'm really struggling to understand how this is even an issue that needs to be discussed and not acted upon immediately.

p.s. To be honest, I personally I could care less about the events. I typically do not participate in these "lag fests" as I like to refer to them but that is just my preference. My issue is with discriminate treatment of the US community. Yes we do all care about the game and the community, it just seems that some of us appear to care more for just the EU community and it shows.
