Frightfully Good Fun in Taborea – Halloween 2016

Halloween is just around the corner, bringing with it some spectacularly spooky days in Taborea!
At this time of year, the barriers between the worlds of the living and the dead become blurred, allowing creatures to pass betwixt the two. Be prepared to meet ghosts, witches and crazed pumpkins, not to mention the undead, risen from their graves...
Pick up some frighteningly good prizes in our series of creepy events.

Message from the Beyond

Ghosts and demons will be trying to use this witching season to escape from the realm of the dead. In their attempts to contact you on this side of the void, you'll find some enticing items winging their way into your mailboxes over the coming days.
Every day between October 18th and October 31st there'll be a surprise in store for you, from creepy mounts and handy buff food through to consumables. If you have multiple characters on your account, the presents will land in the mailbox of the first character you log in with. Even if you miss a day during this period, it won't have any effect on the remaining presents.

Halloween Costume Competition

Whether you're joining in the masked ball, going trick or treating around the block, or simply want to slip past all those real monsters, zombies and witches unnoticed, Halloween's the perfect time to get your creative juices flowing and put together clever costumes to slip into entirely new guises.
Join in with this year's big Halloween Costume Competition and win something to expand your wardrobe!
We look forward to seeing all your inventive, creepy and warped costumes!

Rules:

1. Every registered Runes of Magic player may participate in the competition. Members of the Runes of Magic Team are not eligible to participate.
2. By participating in the competition, you give Gameforge permission to use your submission on any Gameforge official page (such as forums, websites, Facebook and Twitter).
3. Every submission must match the competition theme.
4. Your work must be an original creation made by you and consists of in-game screenshots of character belonging to your Runes of Magic game account.
5. Participants may enter only one submission for the whole competition.
6. We will choose 3 winners from each community (RoM: EN / DE / FR / PL / ES / IT / US). Participants will be grouped by the servers where they would like to receive the reward. Winners will be announced on the forums and on our social media pages.
7. The Runes of Magic Team may change the rules for the competition at any time, should unforeseen circumstances prevent the fair administration of the competition.
Competition theme:
- "Halloween costume"

Any submissions, which:

infringe copyright laws or were not made by the participant,
are submitted in an incorrect file type,
do not match the competition theme,
use animation,
violate the Terms of Use, Forum Rules, and/or Game Rules of Runes of Magicwill be excluded from the competition immediately and without warning. The Runes of Magic Team will judge the submissions and choose the winners, taking into account the effort, creativity and visual effect of the submitted works.

Submission details:
1. Your submission must be made in one of the following formats: .JPG, .BMP, .PNG, .GIF, .TIFF
2. Max. size of the images: 1000px x 1000px, 5MB
3. Each submission comprises up to 3 screenshots which depict your character in Halloween costume.
4. Subsequent editing of the screenshots is not permitted. However screenshots can be merged into one file.
5. Each user may send only one submission.
6. All submissions must be sent via email to: event@runesofmagic.com
7. The following information must be included in the submission email:

Your community: (example RoM ES)
Your board nickname:
Your account name:
Your email address:
Your server and character name:
Skins set of my choice:
Gender of my character:

Please state in your submission email, which one costume set you would like to receive in case of the winning and that is the gender of your character.
Note: The email must be sent from a valid email address (linked to your Runes of Magic account) and one that you check regularly.

Timeframe:
1. The competition starts on: 17.10.2016
2. The competition ends strictly at: 31.10.2016 23:59 CET
All entries submitted after this time will not be considered by the judges.

Rewards:
For each Runes of Magic community, the RoM Team will choose 3 winners (i.e.3 winners per community for a total of 21 winners).

The best 3 submissions from each community will be able to choose one of these two packages (depending if character is female or male) : 1x Kuokuo's Cactus set or 1x Colorful Cactus set.

Tricks for Treats

Trick OR treat? Why not have both!

Trick those wild pumpkins, monsters and demons and you'll pick up some sweet treats:
Between October 21st at 10:00 server local time and October 27th at 23:55 server local time you will gain +100% Experience from quests and mobs, +250% talent points from mobs, and a +100% boost in drop rates.

Between October 28th at 00:05 server local time and November 1st at 23:59 server local time you will gain + 200% Experience from quests and mobs, +500% talent points from mobs, and a +200% boost in drop rates.

Please note that between the two phases of the boost event, there will be a few minutes when no boost is active.

A Halloween Spider Party

Not creepy enough for you in Taborea? Then you'll love what we have in store:
How about a horde of giant black hairy spiders getting their ghoulish boogie down for Halloween? Help us turn the creep factor in RoM up to 11, and unlock an extra special XP/TP/drop boost event for your server in the process.

Whet your appetite? First, pick up your eight-legged surprise from the beyond on Tuesday, 25th October, then organise a spider party on your server by 1st November and take a photo of the terrifying festival. The more spiders, the creepier the spectacle!

Every server which can provide evidence of such a spider party taking place will be rewarded with an extra-high percentage XP/TP/drop boost event.

It is a joint work for the whole server. With whom you work together and take to the party does not matter.

The important part is that you send us a proof that such party took place. How you proceed is up to you as long as you follow the above mentioned rules.
