Actually, krolin was probably the best thing that happened to non-end of end gamer in a while. Its a guild wide event that people could participate in, sometimes even a server wide event. How often do you see that many people running and playing together for more than just a few minutes? Sure it made statting a lot easier (atleast for shell stats...you still had to run AC and Tosh for stats) but how terrible and glitched out the energy of justice events are in the new zone, and the fact that the new instance is a 6 man that most people will be left out of....krolin was a pretty awesome thing.

i agree with you 100% it was fast easy and if you were at lvl 60-72 and looking to gear up that would be the best thing for you in combination or ding minies which get soooooooooooooooooooooooooo boring at times so i think it was a good lil break from farm eoj's and doing mines.i stand by what i said about it was the best thing about chp5 people who say it made things too easy i say to each his own i would love to see this go back to norm

The issue that players be missin tis the fact that Krolin maketh the game gearin up TOO fast. This expansion tis supposered ta take us through the end o summer. Those that farmed out Krolin be geared an stated in the first month. Now they tis gonner sit round complainin that there be nuthin ter do. That said, an eight hour respawn tis abit extreme, but tis also the "planned time" so Froggy didn't overreact or overnerf in any way at all. Now iffn only they actually heed the voices o the players fer once, an cut the respawn time ter 45 min or so, like the TB beach boss (can we get the Ant Queen an the cacti modified also whilest we be at it?). That twould be a great thing.

The issue with Krolin was kinda crazy to begin with. Seeing as he is a part of 2 quests he should not drop a thing and just be part of the chains. Too many players took advantage of his short spawn time were exploiting something that should not havebeen. I ahve maintained that for a long time the bosses that were part of a quest chain should only drop the stuff for the chain and that is it. Now the farmers will have a field day camping Krolin and keeping others from completeing their quests.
As far as the Siege issue with it beign one hour later goes I do hope it stays fixed this time and noone changes it accidently again.

I don't see how farming krolin made gearing up "too fast". You could accomplish the same thing with tons of alts doing minigames everyday. It's not like you can get fully geared off that boss. At most you could get maybe 3 of your endgame stats. And that's as a priest. Mages or Rogues or Scouts even less, more like 2. You still need 4 stats from elsewhere.

A) its not our fault that the world boss was crapilly designed. it should have just been a standard kill and drop some stats boss. B) I can gear up just as fast farming AC, all this does is make it harder for the people who CANT run end game instances to reach end game.

Frogster don't care about the player's response or the player's thought. They only care about making money and anything that makes people spend less on diamonds because they get more in game, they remove. What they don't understand is instead of making people spend more on diamonds, this attitude they have towards the game is alienating the players. If Frogster want to be making more money, then they need to start listening to the player base and stop messing with the game in a way that alienates the players. If Frogster don't want to have players, why not just close the game entirely and be done with it? If they want to seriously up their diamond sales, then they need to start listening to more of what players want.

I used to buy many diamonds in the past and gift with them, and buy more and gift more, and I could buy more for the purpose to gift items to those who couldn't buy. This in itself made frogster more money as I was buying for people who couldn't. Then they stopped diamond item gifting. So I went from spending lots of money to spending very little.

You were able to buy pet perfume for 29 diamonds for 7 days and 49 diamonds for 30 days and now its 25 for one day. Seriously, what were the higher ups thinking??? Now I'll definitely NEVER buy diamonds again for that purpose. And they took off megaphones from the token shop.

I went from wanting to spend money to not wanting to spend a cent on the game. I doubt this is the feeling that Frogster wanted to achieve and this needs to be sorted because RoM could become more popular then World of Warcraft and make much more money, but the way they are going about it is just wrong.

I also find it wrong that I cannot send bound items from one character in my account to another character in my account. I have two mounts on my main char, one of which I could be using on my new dwarf and can't even share bound items.

Frogster, if you read this, I do hope you take a long hard look at RoM and how many players are being alienated. Potential diamond buyers who would love nothing more then to spend money on this game but arn't because of the way the game is heading. I hope you turn it around and fix it.

I find my self only wanting to get one or two things out of the diamond shop also. Partly because when I look at what is there I think it is garbage which will not help my game playing experience and partly because I feel things are still way to expensive. 199 diamonds to change what my pet looks like! Get a grip. That is approximately $10.00 USD, not worth it IMHO. Yes, I'm a little high on the actual REAL DOLLAR cost, but for a virtual product, the price is way out of line.

It took me 3 Months to find the Ant Queen last time i did it, I Guess this will help all the people that have farmed this world boss stay a bit ahead of the rest of us that who were working on Just completeing the Quest

So many posts complaining about different things which could be, SHOULD have been, fixed. The first one I wanted to quote talked about the Myrmex queen and her 24 hour spawn. She WAS an end game NPC from what I understand and I never see her because someone is farming her. So I sit with junk in my inventory as I really don't want to abandon the quest and then one day luck into finding the farmers and getting them to invite me to their party.

The giant cactii, another set of quests which is sitting in my log. This one really isn't broke, but it is a royal pain stopping by every day to see if one is there and if so which one. Something should be done to make it possible to force the spawn of the cactus needed.

The siege timer. This should have been fixed immediately IF the goal is to give a chance to PvP in a non-destructive way and keep people playing the game. However, I think the powers are following the current American business model of getting rid of the old and bringing in the new. This means get rid of players who see the flaws, would like them fixed, but aren't spending any money to bring in people who will spend money as they don't know what the problems are. (For those who don't see the connection to the business model, fire the experienced people you have to pay a decent wage to and bring in new people who don't have a clue how to do the job, but are paid entry level wages.)

Can't talk about the current end game boss timer change as I'm not there yet other than to say look at my above comments and actually think before the next change is made to come up with something which will make the customer base happy AND actually increase profits for the company. I really like some of the events which are built into the game. I wish as much attention would be paid to fixing problems people bring up as is given to those events. I also wish it would be communicated WHY certain changes are being made when they make so many people unhappy. This needs to be done by someone other than the mentors who aren't in on the decision making process and are expected to deal with all the grief directed at the company. It is not fair to them or the customer.

My 2 cents and I'm off my soap box.

Ok, I would love to know why frogster or who ever keeps nerfing things that make this game free to play. Honestly it wasn't bad enough that they removed the ruby bonus from p tokens, and reduced rubies on diamonds...now nerfing Krolin? What the bloody hell are they thinking, yea 15sec was too short, many cd's take 5min, but bumping it to a bloody 8hrs? WTF, i think 15-20min would be a fair respawn, i mean hello it is part of a quest line after all...and as for bashing..well, on the players end...we don't see any so called "changes" that are supposed to happen in sw, or bosses, and ect. Frogster really needs to get their act together, and you need to bring some of the "removed" items back into the IS, otherwise..players are gonna start leaving game...common since

his short spawn made the game easier for those f2p, and for players who's guild's won't take them into higher instances yet, he's best choice for getting stats..he's a world boss, he should drop stats.

Doing that quest over and over again for stats was still preferable to farming dailies/mins though. No complaint about that part from me.

It was preferable when it was a 2 minute timer. Now it just dosent even make sense. An 8 hour cd for shell stats (not even instance drops?) on crappy gear, and you need a quest to get the stats? Without the quest all it drops is a quest title thing and some crap blue drops?

The other point I wanted to talk about is the fact that, don't players try a little too hard to exploit games? Realizing that players were accepting and abandoning quests to farm krolin sounds very much like an exploit to me, and NOT clever use of game mechanics. So they increased the timer because they expect the exploit and want to ensure it's a waste of time; though people will still continue at a much slower pace.

About siege time, how is everyone so sure that this is not the time it is supposed to be? When I 1st started playing this game, siege was at 8pm PDT and frogster-america decided to make it earlier. But it sounded very much like a daylight savings decision, and not a gift to the population. Personally, I wish siege happened all-day, once per guild, and you got matched when someone in your rank also queued up.

Krolin only drops stats in normal or hard mode, which requires the quest item. It made sense at the time.

You are wrong in this point.

First of all you dont need to abandon any quest. Just the opposite, just COMPLETE both and hand them in to get your xp. After you handed in both quests the quest NPC has a new talk option which opens up a merchant window. And guess what he has for sale(!)? You guesed right - the quest items to set the boss in the appropriate mode. 9k for the normal mode and i think it was 15k for the hard mode item. I burned through a couple of stacks of these things for the normal mode with my guild and still have i dont know how much - probably around 100 - in my inventory.

TLDR: the boss was meant to be farmed and the developers of this game encouraged it in a way you did not even have to use any workarounds to repeat the quest. You dont even need to have the quest, you just need the item. Which can be bought off the npc after you finished and handed in both kill quests once.

Given the number of posts I've seen in various languages complaining about the Krolin spawn time being so short, I suspect this was changed but made to sound like it was an error in the first place.

i could care less now, im just happy that ive followed my usual pattern "complete as much quests as possible before something gets f'ed up again" (i got stuck on water temperature though but the workaround was only 2 days away) ... and ofc i did all the Krolin and other quests. The problem is Krolin "use something/collect something" quests are part of the main quest line so 8h krolin = big pile of s... in the face of everybody who has not quested past that point yet.

I was quite happy with cheap shell stats and after the first 2 days of yadayada-complaining everybode else was pretty happy about it too on my server. with that short of a respawn time there's always a time frame when the thing is free and not camped just because its so fscking repetetive. (its just not fun to farm the damn thing for 2 hours straight but atleast its rewarding ... but then again after 2hours its certainly enough for the day...)

Btw next big flame coming up will probably be "all the instance runners can grab all the Energy of Justice" => 3 quests from within the instance to complete at the same NPC total up to 2340 of 6000 points within one second. And AC easy is enough to complete those ;)

Its a world boss that drops stats! Every other zone since Thunderhoof has has these, and each new zone has had the respawn time on them drop. This patch was 100% backasswards from the trend.

And ac easy drops better gear than ac norm does. The gloves and belt out of AC easy are the only worth while rogue upgrades at lvl 72. Easy mode drops at level 72 are what replace the yawaka set?

Which is honestly.. utterly retarded. Why in the world does the EASY MODE of the instance drop worthwhile gear, while the normal mode drops complete crap? It's.. stupid.
