I searched for the manual update thread and did NOT find it or I wouldn't have posted here. I searched again and its not showing up so if there is one it is not showing itself to me.
The current game version is 5.0.1.2553en. Look in the lower right corner of the launcher window to see if your client is up to date.
'wiffo posted the link to the manual patch thread. However, if your client won't or can't autoupdate, you may have to
temporarily disable your firewall and/or your anti-virus program(s) before patching. Re-enable them after you've patched the game.
If you continue to have problems with the "game version" error, you have a couple of options. Look in your main game folder (C:\Program Files\Runes of Magic, or C:\Program Files(x86)\Runes of Magic) and find the Client.exe.ini file. Open it with Notepad and make sure it looks like this:
[Version]
Major=5
Minor=0
BuildNum=1
AutoIncrement=1
Extend=2553
Country=en
Make the require changes and save the file. This
should work, but stranger things have been known to happen.
If you still get the "game version" error, you will need to download the current Chapter V game installer for the client you prefer to use, full or slim, then perform a game reinstall. As above, temporarily disable your firewall and/or a/v program before installing and patching the game, re-enable them aftewards.
