Undocumented Changes: Patch 5.0.3

This thread has been created to record any undocumented changes in Patch 5.0.3 - Chrysalia's Shadow. If you happen to notice any changes that haven&#8217;t been included in the &#8220;Official Patch Notes&#8221; then please post them here.

Please always double check the Patch Notes before posting, and we&#8217;d appreciate it if you are as specific as possible about the nature of any changes you may have noticed.

All of Rogue/mage elite skills have been changed. They are all sys# and give no info to what they do. None of the Pre 5.03 elites are shown.

Let me know if you need more info. Right now rogue/mage combo is unplayable.

I don't think that's classified as an "undocumented change", though I can confirm that it's definitely an issue. Please create a new thread in the Bug Reports forum and also please use the template provided there for reporting bugs.

Even though it may have already been reported to QA, providing a report on our forum will help confirm that the R/M elite skills need to be looked into.

rogue/mage is not unplayable. All you have to do is figure out what the new skills do as I did. One is an aoe from a thrown weapon, one is a close combat aoe, one is like a quad combo throw, one is like an auto throw, still not sure on the passive skills yet.

If just the translation from code (sys#) to plain English (like quad combo throw) was missing I agree that would be a bug, but if the effect of the skills changed and it is not documented I guess it is an Undocumented change:p. In this case it is both undocumented and untranslated.

We do have 2 issues merging here:

One is the undocumented change of all rogue/mage elite skills. Which we can confirm, the skills have changed. We have forwarded this to Runewaker and hope to have more information on that soon.

The sysname issue is a technical issue and bug. Apparently this affects US servers only and not only in regards to these skills but as well to old and new content, quest descriptions and items, and we have forwarded this to Runewaker for a fix as fast as possible.

idk if i should post this here but earlier today reni server went crazy with spam for the event we all hid in guild chat or combat log o_o will that happen again? scare stuff with this update thought the game was trying 2 kill itself

I believe the dwarfs now have a recall option to go back to their starting zone, similar to elves->elven island and humans->logar

[COLOR=white !important]This change is so massive, any Rogue/Mage should be offered a free class re-roll with and exp/tp to level it back to whatever class that person changes to. With what I see currently I wouldn't have chosen this class as it stands, and have played this class longer than most have played this game.

The entire dynamic and damage structure have changed. At this point in time it would also appear that the skills are broke (not counting the sys#). Example would be throw on a rogue/mage does only 5k hit on a level 40 mob, but if changed to r/anything it will do the appropriate damage.

[/COLOR][COLOR=white !important]The traps were all very useful, but these changes took away 2 DOTs, a Root, and debuff skill that only worked on players (good and bad on that last one). 2 of the traps provided decent AOE and had a very small cool down; the third trap was a nice interrupt/root.

[COLOR=white !important]Premeditation now is ALWAYS a 90 sec CD!!! REALLY!!!! (If translation holds that 90 CD should only apply if used in combat). In any case this is a crazy massive cooldown, who is going to worry about this even after 20 secs? In my opinion if the cooldowns can be adjusted properly, this might make this class more playable.

[/COLOR][COLOR=white !important] These new skills (which can't be named in English), have massive CD anywhere from 12 to 30 seconds[/COLOR][COLOR=white !important] and do not appear to be as useful as the previous skills as a result.

Yep. It has broken description (SYS_xxxx), but a new skill. I guess those who did not activate snoop before porting out can get back.

Imo, the new R/M elites look kinda nice, and still offers stun/aoe ability, except you can throw it now, rather than set it up on the ground and hope somebody will step on it. They look like many could be quite useful it they could fix its stupidly fail damage.

The only thing is... what does any of those have anything to do with Rogue/Mage? They look more like skills you'd expect for Rogue/Nothing

Looks & practice are two different things in this case. Ive been doing some testing with our resident rogue/mages (we have 2) and while some of the DPS on these skills in PVE is acceptable, the stuns are pretty weak by comparison. The longest of the stuns is 2 seconds... and thats 2 seconds that subject to the diminishing effects of repeated stuns. Thus, if someone was hit by lightning or shadow prison or whatever ~15 seconds before, that stun will barely last 1 second.

The throwing part of the class combo is 100% broken by bad coding on the elites. The description of the elites may read one thing when you translate them, but currently the skill is doing DPS comparable to the DPS combo throw & throw did BEFORE they were made useful skills. In other words, lvl 70+ combo throw hitting for approx 3k damage on a R/M, then they can swap to R/anything else, and those combo throws go back up to 70k.

It has been one full week, do you have any info about the changes to rogue/ mage elites? Are they here to stay or is this a bug... how can a massive change like this not be in patch notes.

I can't believe anyone hasn't posted this but there are massive chants to EoJ and momento stat pulls as well as a complete restructuring of stat drops. As far as I can tell, you can no longer get str/pa sta/pa dex/pa str/sta etc from EoJ, momento, or NORMAL mode instances (with the exception of the last boss).

this type of sweeping change affects everyone and was completely kept under wraps.

Well a Rogue in my guild pulled a dex/p atk off a shell stat pull last night so unless they changed it in last night's maintenance you can still get those stats from Shell gear but me personally have only gotten Dex/Magic D off shell pulls.
EoJs I have no idea because I do not bother farming them.

And if they made that change then that is very lame and enough to make me want to quit.....it already takes so long to get the physical attack stats as is....which is the DPS stats and preferred stat for DPS.

So are they trying to make it impossible for the masses to actually get the desirable stats??? So once again they will reduce their player base if they make it damn near impossible for the mass of the population left to get the GOOD stats.

Yeah, you should of seen all the threats to ragequit over useless stat pull after useless stat pull for mentos, and now nobody does EoJ event anymore. Shell pulls are still ok though. RoM-Welten did a nice work-up of which stats for what on their site if you want to go see what's available now.
