That would be one of those changes again that is counter productive to the way the game is set up for them to make money.

They make their cash off the players desire to build gear. It really is in the company's worst interest to make the stats that the customer wants to use extremely difficult to obtain.

Profits raise when the items that the customer wants is obtainable. Why they do not let us pick the stats in the first place is beyond me. When WA was first out the Codex vendors gear showed you what stat you were getting....why they ever changed to this silly gambling method is beyond me.....Damn this company is so fixiated on gambling is crazy yet we the customers keep paying out the nose for that gambling. Who will wake up first the paying player or the company?

The company will only admit it's mistakes once it has gone under usually.

I noticed yesterday that Siege Timer is working now. You can see time left without looking your clock. No pools around middle towers as documented but I am almost sure we have some new big rocks that are great to hide faces and eye traps, at least at middle left tower (Hilot for Blue Team and Knin for Red Team).

I would also like some sort of response from ROM on why they decided to make it impossible for 99% of the player base to get Remains stats that people actually use and in doing so making it pretty much pointless to do the EOJ events.

Another week, hoping we are a little closer to find out if the changes to every single one of Rogue/ mages elites is a bug or if they are hear to stay. This changed the class combo a great amount.
I know it can be annoying to be asked the same question over and over but thanks for your time and hope we solve this unknown info soon.

The changes are here to stay. They just were not mentioned in the patch notes. Look for other changes to come to other combos aswell.

The changes are here to stay... but it has been 2 weeks, and still no official information on this major change.

That is 2 weeks in which an email is sent, and 2 weeks in which there have been ~80 business hours in which the powers that made this change could have responded.

It begs the question... are our questions ever making it to the people with the answers, or are the people with the answers not reading/responding to their emails for weeks at a time?

At least they constantly keep us in dark on updates, but I don't think it is their fault - they are surprised just as we are, and QA is in my opinion (as in opinion of many others) non-existant at the moment.

If there was QA, two week ago we would not get borked patch, nor they would released it until sure that everything is OK. But got to beat that China bear in something or at least to be equal and bring new content at the same time.... Bad business decisions.

Major competitor, the one that will get new movie at the end of the year (or was it next year) with little guys, you know, actually made smart move and moved release of upgrades for a month. Apparently they will have 'pay for upgrade and new content' and atm they are F2P.

So, a business completely changes a design within their product... yet they have no idea why they chose to do so? Makes perfect sense!

On a related note, today I knocked a big hole in my living room wall. I have no idea why I chose to do so, but im sure my family wont question it at all.

You are preaching to the choir my friend here. We all agree that does not make any sense, and those here (GM/CM and Mentors) are just doing their work just as receptionist is doing her in company that changed design.

She might ask what's going on, but not sure if she understood changes, there is that magic language barrier.

There are small moves in positive side (last weekend sale), but I am now in anticipation of two steps backwards... (something got to broke with last maintenance, or somethin' will get lost :))

This worries me even more though, that a class combo could be changed so much. What happens if others are changed, classes that players have spent years in being changed.

I don't care how you've been trying to package this idea that just because the test server reacts differently to the live servers (which they should not if they are true mirrors), the fact remains they made changes to a class without even telling us in the patch.

I thoroughly fail to see why the changes were not documented or at least BY NOW there would be a proper statement on why r/m skills were completely changed.


The entire Runes of Magic game concept seems to have lived out it's prime and I believe the game itself is being shuffled around to publishers to squeeze what is left of the addicted drones to this game. Sadly enough they've ruined a product that could of drawn in so much more revenue but after all this game DID (past tense here) make a good amount of money for the first initial investors.

With the limited amount of CS, actual live responses on these forums, the broken quest lines, the very uninteresting sales. I don't see this game ever rejuvenating from what it used to be. People no longer are willing to sit in the game just to be there, regardless of what they are doing, there is almost no new players across the entire Us servers.



The game has just become stale I think, the players that are here have not found a new product to dive into or are still grasping to the false hope that something will make this game magical again, but until then Runes of Magic has indeed lost it's magic.

Remember the great Warden "fix" a few patches back? Completely turned the entire class up on end. Just be glad it was just the elites of the one combo and not the entire class and its combos.

R/M's abilities are marked properly now and are actually a lot of fun to use in combat. The elite skills are pretty good although I don't see how the mage comes into play in this combo now. All of the skills now are based on Ranged Weapon damage.

Enchanted Throw is a buff with no time limit that uses a Throw each time you attack with your mainhand weapon regardless of hit/miss.
Vengeance Sting, passive, effects Enchanted Throw by returning a Throw when you are hit by a physical attack then reducing damage received by 10% for 4 seconds with no cooldown.
Enlivened Blade is the tossable aoe, which reduces the cooldown time by 50% if it hits 3 or more targets with a max of 5 targets hit.
Day of Rain is the short range aoe, which has cooldown reduced by 1 sec each time you use Throw.
Evil Intent, passive, allows you to use Premeditation in combat, but increases the cooldown timer to 1.5 minutes.
Life Rope Throw, passive, makes your Combo Throw hit 4 times instead of 2. (Actually breaks the damage on Combo Throw...)
Create Opportunity is the same crit boost and stun for 4 seconds chance.
Disabling Blade, passive, disables physical attacks, physical skills and reduces movement speed by 30% of targets hit by Enlivening Blade and Day of Rain for 3 seconds.

All in all, I think this is a vast improvement in both gameplay and damage skills. The only bad thing about it is the damage on Combo Throw is broken and Day of Rain does oddly low amounts of damage.

Another week. Still any Word from Runewaker about the changes? Game-forge should be worried if things are happening to the game that they are not being told about and when ask get no reply.

We get the changes are here to stay but does not mean we should not be told or informed.

Thanks for your time.

p.s i will not let this go, i'll be here for a few months i am sure.
