Ape Mountain's Materials

I have done every quest in the zone except Ape Moutain's Materials, and upon asking Sheebo Kanten for the gem, he simply replies that such a gem would be cool but he has no idea where one would be.

I have done all the quests in Ape Mountain, including killing the Ape King. I even searched the map for any available quests in the zone and nothing came up.

I have tried abandoning and re-aquiring the quest, I also even killed the Ape King two more times for good measure. Mr. Kanten still has no clue what gem I'm talking about though.

If anyone has any ideas or suggestions as to how I can finally complete this quest and be done with the Savage Lands, I am open to any and all suggestions.

The gem comes from behind the Ape King -- you have to click on the pillar behind him after you kill him. You'll get the gem then.

I did that. I checked it again just in case and nothing happens. The cog comes up on mouse over, but I can't click it.

Try dropping and re-taking the quest to kill the Ape King. As I recall, the quest isn't complete anyway until you get the stone.

(or, to state the obvious, the stone is already in your backpack?)

If that doesn't work, time to put in a support ticket.

Talk to SHeebo Kanten. Just ask her for the special gem.

If I remember correctly this was the quest associated with a prior quest from Sheebo Kanten that gives u that weird "Explosive" item that doesn't disappear from ur bag after killing the Ape King the first time. After killing the Ape King, the pillar behind it generates the gem for that previous quest, in that quest when right clicking on the gem itself activates another quest, (after looking thru Runedatabase.com, I think it's the "Mysterious Gem" quest that gets activated, not sure tho, then the item in question is called "Special Jewel"), that sends you to Banki Lofit (51.6, 79.7). Unless I'm confusing this with another quest, after speaking with Banki, the quest icon ! doesn't show up on the npc's head, so most ppl think the quest ends there. But if u talk to Banki again, then the gem is released back to you along with another quest to give the jewel/gem to Sheebo.

Where you are in ur quest chain, I think Banki Lofit STILL has ur jewel/gem thats why Sheebo Kanten doesn't know anything because u nvr finished the previous quest in that area. Talk to Banki to get the jewel/gem again which is now called, then give it to Sheebo Kanten, then take the now-changed-&-called "Special Gem" from Sheebo Kanten to give it to Sheelo Lance.
