Training 50+

So I'm just getting back from beta.. Have 15m to my name. I'm geared decently I suppose (Nothing crafted, but have the CoO set)

Wondering where I go to train? Everyone says wait till 55 for gear from HoS.. I'm 51 right now. Where is the quickest way to 55 as no one will let me in HoS groups yet?

Ok, for one, forget what Cexx said about not gearing up until level 67 for grafu gear.
For one thing, you'll find the game EXTREAMLY boring if you just level.
Second you actually can't level as fast as if you spent some time gearing so you can finish quests faster.
Third you won't be able to run RT or KT ungeared (obviously). Forth, if you don't gear up at least enough for RT normal your missing out on some major money-making schemes (Buying purified stones and reselling on AH with Temple stats for roughly 3-4m each).

Forth....well the list just basically keeps going on and on, instead of just listing this for ever (cus i can go on as long as I want, cexx's idea is flawed in so many ways).

Point is, gear up at level 55 or at least when you hit 60. Tell me what class you are so I can give you more detailed tips like what set you should be looking to get.

I'm focusing on my R/S, but I switch to R/P occasionally if I'm stuck on a quest and need the survivability.
And you're saying I should gear up more to level to 55 to regear myself? Because dumping money into 4 levels seems somewhat wasteful to someone with very low resources.

And also, this is in Artemis - Not sure if the economy here would be to my benefit or not.

Your choices are either to get dragged through DL/ZS for Atrocity (or buy some off the AH) or speed to 67 and gear up with the Crimson gear, which is notably easier to obtain OD than Atrocity.

I wouldn't waste my time with HoS gear. If you do, however, don't waste puris on it. Dirty stat it with dual or single stat fusion stones. It just doesn't make sense with the current economy to bunny hop through each level of gearing, actually puri statting/tiering each set and weapon, as that would be overwhelmingly expensive.

I would suggest hitting 65, at the very least, as fast as you can. Dur Craftsman daggers (think that's what they're called) at 65 are decent, and usually pretty cheap, if people are still making them. 55-60 weapons are not worth wasting a ton of money on, but a t6 level 55 weapon will get you to 65.

As for first hitting 55, at your level you should be at Weeping Coast. Work your way through WC --> Savage Lands --> Aotulia Volcano (though I'd suggest skipping most quests in AV and only taking the quest that allows you access to Thunderhoof Hills)--> Thunderhoof.

Formerly Catorii, D/S/M of Faction.

Yeah don't use purify stones on hos gear, always dirty stat. The atrocity set is a level 55 armor set, but some level 65's still use it because its the armor that gives the most dex out of the rest.

Don't buy level 55-60 daggers, do hos and hope for a axis dagger or copy soul dagger or whatever.

your set for accessitory should be dilan'y or flame. Flame i don't know where you get honestly but its level 55 and very good.

Remember, all the gears above should be dirty stated. Atrocity is the best armor for dex but your giving up roughly 300 defence a piece of gear and the set skills on the level 60 and 65 gear are alot better too.

As for leveling, i'd recommend what effervescent said too, and on top of that do your daily's in the zone "Xavilia". Daily's should be ether guard dog meat or butterflies (butterfilies are a lot easyer). Those give...i think like 227 k exp each.

Alright, I've been doing the butterfly dailys (Much cheaper and I'm selling the dog meat I pick up along the way)
And as far as the Atrocity set - I've seen a handful of people wearing it at 67.. Which set is better?

The best sets are:

1) Barkud/Grafu. Level 65, but only drops in GC hard mode, and so realistically not possible to get. Maybe someone on US server has full set, but I would be surprised if there is more than one or two

2) Atrocity/Scout Unicorn. Level 55, farmable in ZS/DL with relative ease these days. Best you can get, realistically speaking.

3) Fort gear. Level 67, vendor bought. Because it is bought and relatively cheaply, it is fairly common in OD version. But, it is not the best, and it was recently mildly nerfed. Also, not a set, each piece is standalone.

If you don't mind UD, get atrocity. I have several full sets that I am not even bothering to sell because I dont want to unbind it. They are pretty darn common. Also, the nice part is that the set bonus is at 3 pieces, so you can skip one. Most people skip shoulders, but I guess it'd depend on what you can get.
-- Rustyx --- 92R / 92S / 92M on Reni (Guild KnightShift). Yes, running the new FOTM R/M, cause I am not elf enough to be WD/S.

Oh, and people who have more than 3 classes are clinically insane.
