Unspeakable is a daily. Not hard to pick up or do.

Weapon Advance is public quest and it is easy... but it is a followup to royal pain in the butt Effective Cough Medicine quest. I thought that was broken... turned out it was just tricky. I'll give you a hint... try to figure them out before doing dailies for the day.

First let me tell you... The kind of potion that you brew depends on how long you brew it. Don't say I didn't remind you. The longer you brew the potion the stronger it will become and you will have a potion to kill bugs. If the potion is brewed for a short period of time, it will be weaker and will only be suitable for treating a cold.

I highlighted the important bits. The alchemy bottle next to him is what you need. Now, you just need to make sure you dont brew the potion that kills bugs.

whatever you do, do NOT drop that quest, you'll never get it back and it's a title quest.

So does anyone know if this quest can be done? I'm pretty sure i got all the quests up to it, but don't have the option of a quest there. :/ Which leads me to believe that i may/or may not have abandoned that quest... I haven't ruled that out yet. lol Any input would be awesome! Thanks

The quest you have to pick up is an event quest (the pink/red/whatevercolor exclamation points) in the first town. But you also have to have the daily to get the parts needed for the potion.

But if you drop the first quest (actual quest, not daily or public points) you will NOT be able to get any follow up quests from him

That's what I thought. That's the problem I think I am having. I think I may have dropped the quest for some reason. If this is true, and it's a bug, and you should actually be able to still do the quest; then I would consider sending in a bug report. The more the better. It's prolly an easy fix but no one has really complained so they prolly dun know about it. Just a guess... But would be nice to be able to do that quest and get the title fer it.

I've turned in several reports, all answered essentially 'sorry for your difficulty'

The main problem with this quest is that the quest is given only after getting the 'effective cough medicine' quest from another NPC , if you don't have her quest, you can't get his quest. If you drop it, you no longer have her quest (you turned it in already!) so he won't talk to you to get it back.

From Runesdatabase, the only guest he gives after that is a daily for doing the same thing (scortch grass and venom), and he is a turn in for another quest from the giant mutated frog leg behind sardo castle.

The solution would be to toggle her quest back to incomplete, because he is working fine.
The quest you get from her sends you to him to get medicine, he sends you out to get the ingredients to make the medicine yourself.
Top link is Aliyah milfen's 'opener' for amden, second is amdens quest so you can finish hers, third is the daily he gives. 4th, is the quest Aliyah gives that is required to finish a title.
without her quest, you can't get the opener, if you drop the opener, you no longer have her quest so he can't give you the opener and that loop is closed.

You can't get Amden's quest without having hers in your log, you can't complete hers without finishing his and getting the cough medicine. So she has to be reset in order to get any from him.

She gives you a quest even if you have finished her quest. It is an event quest, but it is the right one.

He gives you a daily quest, do it, when you turn it in, you have to click on the alchemy thingy, do not let the cast bar fill, stop it early and voila, the miracle cure.

Turn in the miracle cure to her.

You have now done two quests. One is daily, one is event.

The issue is that if you drop the very first quest he gives you, neither one of them will have any further quests for you.

His first quest is linked to having hers in your list, once you've talked to him the first time that quest isn't there any more, so if you drop it you can't get it back.

Yes, I believe that's the problem I have. I play the game to get all quests and titles. Alittle OCD... But anywho, i put in a ticket on it. Hopefully between that and this forum they can adjust it so that we may still get this quest or point us in the direction we need to go in order to get this quest and title!

Did this get fixed for anybody? My main toon is still blocked on this also.

I did abbandon it but got it back after a while when I did some research on how to do it.

I've researched, and as far as I can tell, the steps refugee listed are the only way to get that quest line going.

The one where you ahve to get teh cough medicine can be abbandoned, but to continue inits line you will eventually ahve to go back to it. Anoying as all get out if you do not know how to get the cough medicine. i was one of the first few in tergothen Bay on Reni and had no idea how that one worked, and apparently the few others that were there also were just as stumped as I was. Finaly someone said in zone chat they figured it out and we all did it the way he did (cancel the making as soonas it starts) and got that part done. Anoying quests like that are the bane of RoM. I ahd trouble with another in TB but that actualy had to be fixed with a patch, seeing as it was bugged.

The one where you gotta get eh cough medicine is abbandonable and you can retake it when you finaly figure out how to get the medicine.

Thing is, he will not give ANY quest if you dropped it without completing it.

If you can't get the anti-vermin potion quest, you can't collect the materials to make the potion or the cough medicine.

It sounds as though you abandoned it somewhere after the first quest he gives.

Edit: When I abandoned it, I got the quest for the cough medicine, which sent me to Amden. I took his quest for the antivermin potion (key to get the cough medicine is spelled out for anyone who reads the quest) I managed to collect all the scortch grass, and a couple of the swampfang venoms, then they stopped dropping for me, so following the automatic advice of GMs everywhere I dropped the quest to reset it, and they don't speak any more.
