level requirement for furniture bonus

My lowest level character is a level 11 knight not receiving any tp bonus from the chest in the house. The lvl 21 warrior side is receiving the bonus as intended. The response to my support ticket is "they can't tell any secrets to the mechanic," so I take it that the system is working as intended. Does anyone know which level you start receiving furniture bonus, whether xp or tp?

Firstly, are you logging off/idling on your knight side? It only adds onto the current class you're on, and if you're in your house at the hour.

I am not sure there is a level requirement exactly but the bonus is boosted and caps based on what your level is. If that didn't make any sense, I mean say it takes 1000 xp to level, so your bonus xp caps out at 1000 xp, and the bonus adds up slow related to the 1000xp.

I think the furniture bonus starts at level 15 or 20, but I can't be certain which one it is...

There's no minimum level requirement for XP or TP bonuses from house furniture. However...

Only your active class will receive the bonus. So, if you log off as a Warrior/Knight, the Warrior side will receive the bonus gain each hour. If you log off as a Knight/Warrior, the Knight side will receive the gain.

Also be aware that at low level, you won't gain a lot of bonus. What you do gain will be used up more quickly, of course. The gain tends to grow as you level up.

One last hint. You'll be better served by having a higher TP bonus base than XP.

That's one of those "we can't divulge the exact algorithm for how the bonus is calculated...so ANY question related to the bonus we just send that response, even if that's not what you're asking." LOL...

I had a lvl 14/14 p/m logged off in the house for 2 months and got no house furniture bonus.

I recall seeing someone's posting of what they figured the formula to be in the EU forums somewhere...

There was definitely something like "charlevel - 15" in there which would explain no bonus at level 14.

And when was that? I recall an issue some time back, probably last year, where the furniture bonuses were borked up. It took RW awhile to figure out what was wrong and get them set straight again.

Minimum level for furniture bonuses is level 25.

Higher the level, higher the bonus XP/TP.

From may 2011 to july 2011. I am guessing you have been misinformed, much like back when house furniture came out and was put in guild caslte and lost its functionality, yet instead of refunding those dias/furniture the tooltip was changed to state the furniture would lose its functionality when placed in the castle.

I do not see a difference in the bonus gained between logging off as my druid, scout, or warden in terms of gain, but that may be due to not a significant lvl difference there.

I do know that there is a max amount of bonus that can be gained based on character lvl. Once that number is reached, no more bonus is gained.

The maximum bonus you can earn is equal to the total amount of xp required for your current level.

Working As Intended

All they had to say was you start receiving your furniture bonus at Level 16. It really is not more difficult than that. So don't bother buying any furniture for xp/tp bonus until you reach that level. 5 levels later I found the answer to my own question.:D Thanks everyone for your input. Makes me feel less crazy about the questions I ask.
