Yeah, he is an official spokesperson of Frogster. No policy was changed save that which you conceived yourself. Policy, instead, was clarified for those seeking to take things off on odd tangents. As was said, shadowstepping into a castle with the target on the walls is, and has always been, perfectly acceptable.

To be honest, the crying about shadowstepping through gates was a bit silly too and deserved a lot more L2P and a lot less nerf. This is coming from a non-rogue, btw.

I truly believe that Rogues should get a few more skill :

Like Super speed
Being able to just walk threw gates at all time
Let them fly
Invulnerability
and also not affected by Kryptonite


Because they are so weak and are able to still use their skills to get in guild castle while all gates are up. But don't forget it's in BETA since 1999 soon they will have finished it. But as the GM/CM posted we are stupid.

Keep up the good work and please, please don't give anything to Knights or Warrior because they are so OP already.

So now what is called an exploit in this game? we all make rogues and get into guild castle with gates up.

Bad excuses and bad intensions leads to cheaters and hackers, just sad. Welcome to Rogues or Mages game.

if i could figure out how to quote from another thread, i'd do it. but i spent hours searching for this...

To stay on topic here, it is now not possible to use Shadow Step to bypass the gates at an opponent's castle during Guild Siege. This was changed with the initial Chapter IV content:

Exploit fixes:

Rogues can&#8217;t use Shadow Step and Phantom Step to step through Castle Gates during Siege Wars anymore.
Knights can&#8217;t use Charge to step through Castle Gates during Siege Wars anymore.

Official policy regarding other methods of entering an opponent's castle with the outside gates still intact is as follows:

It's an exploit. If you do this and are caught on video--via FRAPS or another video capture method--and are reported, you can be suspended or banned.

In other words, "Don't. Do. It."

that's from kalvan. i'm seeing a little double talk here, and apparently all the rogues in the game should be waiting for this. can we get some 100% clarification on this subject?

Update: I have been informed by Someone Who Knows that using Shadow Step to attack an opponent on top of a castle wall or on a corner or gate parapet, when the castle gates are up and intact is definitely an exploit. So...

So...what about the people that only check the forums once a month and yesterday was it? Do they get a free pass on use of this tactic for the next month?

How about all the rogues that listened to me when I spammed the new policy on multiple servers? Do they get a pass since you are capitulating?

Methinks you need to do an official announcement...not to get the egg off your face, since it is clearly already there, but to keep your ineptitude from getting people banned/suspended.

I was hit with the re-definition earlier today, and have been making such amends as I can. Keep in mind that this change was rather abrupt and I was working from previous information and policy. Obviously, policies can change. And have.

Just so you have it in red as well, this is the official statement. Any way to get into the castle while the gates are up is considered an exploit.

I would have hopes that they have someone in the guild who can update them OR that they check forums themselves when another user from another guild is telling them they cheated and that forums says they did. I also am a strong believer in common sense ^^

Same old, same old

Since the inception of siege, there has been this on going problem with rogues and pets. Some, I can cite a few- are out right hacks, and others are game "workarounds'. It seems the general consensus is -if the game allows it -it's not a hack and all's fair in war..We have lost wins in siege because of these exact issues, I have personally reported players to no avail. So, we live with it and when it starts to really hurt we withdraw from play. Imho, I won't let a few players that intentionally work what I call "the cheat" ruin my good time. Thankfully there aren't too many of them around.:D
