Rubies are a "reward" for spending diamonds or tokens. They're used to purchase some essentials that fall between vanity & required items. Basically they're giving you a "special" currency for spending either time or money in the game.

Ok first gold.

Gold is the main currency of RoM. It is used ingame for durn near everything.

Next Diamonds: These are the special currency used exclusively in the item shop for upgrade crystals special pots and a bunch of other stuff. Now diamonds themselves cannot be traded in teh game world, but you can gift a person something from the item shop by using diamonds.
Rubies: again an item shop exclusive coin. Pretty much they are a reward for using Diamond.
Phirius Tokens: These are the funny ones. You can ONLY get them from doing daily quests. They ahve a few more uses than the diamonds adn rubies. Again they have their own tab in the item shop. But ingame they are used to get into certian mini games. SO ahving them is a must if you like doing the minigames.
Ancient momentoes: Special currency that when used in conjumnction with gold can buy gear for your character, potions and food from specific vendors. Can only get tehm by beating certian bosses.
Phirius Shells: durn near the same as Ancient Momentos. These are rewards for doing the mini games.
Energy Of Justice: these are the tricky ones. You only get tehm in Tergothen Bay. You only get them when doing specific public quests in Tergothen Bay or by killing specific mobs in Tergothen Bay. Now attaining them is fairly easy but using them can be a major pain. In order to sue the justice tokens you have to place within the top 3 after each event ends. between events there is usually 20 minutes for you to get to the justice shop and get you some gear. There is only 1 vendor that I have found for these.

i thought u had to be first place to be able to buy the gear with the justice shells? if its only the top three then i am sooooooooooo happy. thats easy.
