Pet Types

Hello, im just asking, on the wiki pet guide

Are the pets that are red on the pet list removed or really rare? Because ive searched for 2 hours on the entire auction house and I cant find a single Ystra Snow Ferret, so are certain pets (not talking about holy or amazing, as in like black boar or black kuma or something) much harder to get than others?
Also, are the levels completely random as well? Because I saw that in the auction, a pet with really high level is the same as one which is low. So is it useless to buy pets which are high leveled?
One more question is that I am a knight/warrior. What pet element is the best? I always think its light, but others say its earth (im choosing to have knight as primary), can someone help?

Red means there is link but no linked page.

Pets are random, but I cant remember seeing snow ferret either. Not that it matters - on list of things to look for, the pet species is way way down. Element and rarity are.

Light is good for knight, yes (Sta, Str, Wis). Earth is (Str, Sta, Dex) and is not as good. Warrior primary would prefer earth, but you are doing knight, and that is light.

Oh, and people who have more than 3 classes are clinically insane.

there seems to be some speculaction about pet species determining whether or not they attack instance mobs or not even after transforming to another pet with better passives. where the hell is that kind of info? mine is kind of borderline at the moment. other guildies pets attack anything in sight, others do nothing ever, and every now and then my main tank will tell me to put away my stupid pet for pulling.

Snow Ferret

I can confirm that they exist (at least they did 2 months ago). Now - I had the red-eyed one, but I think both were available. Used to have one as a novelty pet, but ditched it when I needed to clear some spots for merging for my real pet ;)I'll definately be getting another at some point!
