Dang Hippogriff King Debuff!

So I'm a part-time player and I'll be the first to ask what the strats for anyone boss are or will look it up in forum ahead of time. But I can not for the life of me find any info on the Hippogriff King quest. Was me and 3 others, no one really OP'd. Got the bugger 2/3 down before the crows debuffs turned the battle against us. I know there was a way to glitch him, but that is no longer usable. So besides having more ppl/OP ppl and burning thru, how do you get rid of that debuff? I play a M/P and Purify did nothing. Thank you for your time.

Kill the birds before they debuff you and your party. Alternatively, if there is anyone in party who didn't get the debuff, if they kill something (anything) in "combat" range of you, your debuff will be removed. Oh, and it is totally possible to bug him still, just not the old way. I will not get into details here because it is an exploit, and honestly, I just buff up and kill him before the birds even show up now, lol.
