Attribute stat point effect

I was looking at the attribute chart in runes wiki. It said that mages get 2 matk per int. I have to be getting almost three times that. is there anything besides equipment stats that effect your multiplier? Dose my secondary class (rouge) effect it?

To compare INT stats vs stats giving you matk directly just do the following:

INT*2*1.2*1.2*1.073 (1 INT = 2 matk , Dura>100 (20% High Dura Bonus), 20% Hero Potion, 7.3% more INT from "Wisdom")

so for every INT you get 3,09024 matk instead of just 2

116 X/matk Stats => 348 matk
106 X/matk Stats => 318 matk
96 X/matk Stats => 288 matk

So a "hero" stamina/matk (116/290) will get you more matk than 106 Stamina/Int AND more Stamina . Of course this only applies to stats that are not INT/matk because 106 INT AND 265 matk is of course more than 290 matk ;)

But, since both Int/Sta and Int/matk are available as 116 and 106, AND we have TWO stats to choose in both qualities, youre better off (but ofc more expensive) with:

116 Int/matk HERO
116 Int/matk GLORIOUS
116 Int/Sta HERO
116 Int/Sta GLORIOUS
106 Int/matk Bunker
106 Int/matk Crimson (or Int/Sta or whatever you like)

then there is FROST, 116 INT/HP. This would be an optimum replacement for a third Int/Sta (so instead of a 106 Int/Sta) because you get more matk and HP out of it But its only available in ToSH hardmode while everything else is farmable via mementos and shells. (So if you need a third stat adding life use stamina/matk or hp/matk 116).

As for a good and cheap gear: ditch Vathos and get the Ring/Earring/Necklace from Mementos. Theres nothing better atm thats almost for free. ( This Set here: http://www.runesdatabase.com/itemset/610359 )


additionally, just for explanation:

as for VN Set:
The Trick with VN Set is that 8% additional INT get you just so much matk that the lower INT stat surpasses the higher MATK stat in net matk, differentiating stat setup a bit to get even MORE matk and more INT for the tiny bit of damage from INT bonus damage at the same time.

See? ingame this means that for someone with VN set a Castle Frost (96 INT / xxx HP ) was better than a 106 matk/HP or stamina/matk - in terms of matk only. while at the same time gaining addtional INT bit by bit for the additional damage modifier ;)

totals to only +40-50 matk , but +3k INT (instead of zero INT, AND losing those 40-50 matk *g*) for modifiers while losing 1300HP.


I am lazy to explain, so read what Yoman says, then forget all the bits that don't relate to your question.
tl:dr Hero Pots, Wisdom (the passive skill), increase your amount of intel, which of course increases your mattk.

Rogue doesn't effect it at all.

Of course you also get pure mattk stats as well. Maybe it would have been answer that first?

Wow, that is way more complicated than it needed to be:0 What i'm talking about is base intel and matk not from extra stats. When i completly strip i still have almost three times as much matk as int. What boost am I missing
