Quest: The Final Step

The only info that the quest interface gives is: 'Carry out the final steps of the formula with Phil August'. In the quest content it goes on to say he needs to put the ingredients in a rune-enchanted pot and presto. Well thats the problem, No presto! I have searched forums and tried asking in public channels but so far no info has been aquired as to how or what I need to do here. Please help! This is my first week here and so far I am loving this game.

if this is the quest i am thinking of, you accept the quest and just wait a few seconds and he will walk over to the barrel thing and do something with it, then a mob will pop out and u have to kill it to complete quest...but i could be entirely wrong...

Hmm, that makes some sense as the quest is accepted but not finished. I think that I ran off right after accepting it. If that is the case, will I be able to finish the quest now? I am still getting the drop that started the quest, what happens when you abandon quests here? Thanks for the help

I literally just did this quest -- well yesterday anyway. It's exactly as Cike says, just wait a few and he'll walk over to the barrels. You will also need to kill a mob that spawns. Just abandon the quest and pick it up from him again then wait until he does his thing.
