Dissapating All Fortune Quest Trouble

Hi, I have been having the hardest time with this quest. No matter where I stand by the Giant Guardian, I can not get the Expensive Rune to work. I even abandoned the quest and accepted it again and still nothing. I am beyond frustrated with this quest. Do you have be a certain level for it to work? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

go stand right underneath him... he won't agro, he's neutral. Just get right up under him and click the rune. You should find him somewhere near 42,20.

Thanks for the reply. I did try that with no luck. I just can not figure it out. It does recommend Level 19 and I am Level 18 on my secondary class. Could that have anything to do with it? I did not think it would matter.

If you can get the quest it should work. Sounds like another bugged quest too me.

Silenteye7 left out an important detail. You have to single-click (select) the Guardian before you right-click on the rune. I don't think your secondary's level will make a difference.

I thought I posted but somehow did not I guess...anyhow, it did not work. Targeting the guardian does not show a green target. Just shows the target for auto move. If this is a bug, how do I even go about reporting it? Again, thanks to everyone for trying to help out.

You might want to try this before reporting it as a bug:

Stand under the Guardian and target a nearby Tagena hostile (forget their exact names), then right click the rune.
See if that works.

Ok...Well I went there and I actually realized I was at the wrong thing. There was a Giant Rock thing and it had his name "Giant Guardian" in yellow letters. So all this time and I was not even at the right thing. However, when I targeted him, I got killed. This quest really has driven me nuts and I want it out of my quest log lol lol.

You probably hit him when you targeted him, that is why he killed you. Try it first without targeting, then if that doesn't work there is two kinds of targeting, one with left click one with right click. one of those is an attack the other isn't. Unfortunately i forget which is which.

Thanks everyone! FINALLY!!! LOL...It's out of my log now. Again, thanks to everyone and the advices and good to know I was at the wrong thing the whole time. :o My how fast that quest got done when I was at the right thing.
