How to LVL

Hi, this may sound incredibly stupid I guess, but while reading the forums for a bit I saw some posts talking about lvling to 20-30 in an hour or 2-3, and I was like WUT, I took like 5 to get 12... so I was wondering how to do this thing faster, found out after this all that just picking up all the daily shizz makes it alot easier already, but I still wont make that speed, any tips?
thx for reading, and sorry if my English is bad, im Dutch

You can be powerleveled if someone wanted to do it. Powerleveling is done in one of two ways.

1) A high level person takes you to a high end zone, like Redhill or Tergothen Bay while in same party as you. Then the kills give you XP that level you pretty fast.

2) A high level establishes honor party that lets you get XP even though the high level does not. Then he takes you to an instance (like Forsaken Abbey or Origin) or just a higher level zone like Savage land.

Neither method lets you learn the game, which is why most people wont powerlevel. No point in being L30 or 40 or 50 if you have no clue how to play the game, and you dont learn how to play it when powerleveled.

There is also a really badly designed zone Coast of Opportunity / Xaviera, that gives you very high XP rewards for almost no work. It is in a way self-powerlevel zone. I do not recommend you using it for same reason - high level without experience that got you to that level makes it harder to play, not easier.

Oh, and people who have more than 3 classes are clinically insane.

The stories of fast leveling could be due to the player already having played RoM to higher levels or endgame, and therefore access to more gold, twinked gear, or just knowing the best quests to take and ignoring others. (For example, getting a 1 million XP orb and 1kk Talent Orb from the AH would get you to lvl 30 instantly). Fast leveling could also depend on class, since some classes are not built to do damage (ex. knight) which means it take longer to complete quests while others can kill multiple targets and complete dailies in no time (ex. mage). Learning the important skills, stats, and strategies of your class is also important. (ex don't stack magic attack on a melee/physical attack class).

Occasionally there are 'Double XP' weekends that double xp for quests, but not for tp which can gimp your skills in the long-run. "Double XP" events happen randomly, but sometimes close to holidays. RoM's 3rd anniversary is coming up soon so... maybe then.

If you are starting out, leveling could take some time, especially if you haven't played an MMO before. But if you want to get to endgame faster, you could always take the highest level quests because they offer the most XP. This could mean getting to The Coast of Opportunity as that is intended to level a character's third class and so gives higher xp.

You could just focus on leveling only one class, and then using high level dailies to level your secondary class. (i.e. you can turn in quests up to 9 levels higher than your current level, so you could do quests as a lvl 30 mage and then switch classes to your lvl 21 rogue to turn them in)

Grabbing all the available quests and checking to see which quests require the same kills can also speed things up. (ex sometimes killing the same boar can net you 3-4 quest completions.)

Getting in with a good guild can be an option too, as some can help you blaze through the quest-lines and instance quests. Teaming up with friends can also help you finish a whole zone in several hours.

Also, sell everything you find and buy the best weapon possible from the AH. This will help you kill monsters faster to finish the quests. It could also help you fight higher level monsters to get more xp and tp. If you want to spend money, you could trade for gold to buy the xp/tp orbs, or buy xp/tp bonus potions.

You could study http://www.runesdatabase.com/ to figure out what the best quests are.

I'd agree not to level too fast as you may miss game content, class skills, tactics, or other aspects of the game that become important later. Save power-leveling for an alt on your second time through.

Here is the skinny on how to lvl faster than humanly possible in RoM. First powerleveling DOES NOT WORK if the person that is a higher level is more than 10 levels above you. Anything over 10 levels and the xp gains start to go down not up.
Bow for my secret to go from level 1 to level 30 in around 3 or 4 hours (depending on your class). First thing is to get some diamonds to be used in the ingame item shop. You will need to buy the expert skill and experience potions at least 5 of each to start. Now get some quests. Doing only the quests that have you killing things pop one skill potion and one exp potion (the potions DO NOT STACK). If you got the right ones you will gain 70% more exp and TP for every kill. Once the first batch of killing quests is done turn them in and get more until your first potions time out. In an hour you should ahve gotten to at least level 10 (or higher). Repeat the process as long as you have potions. Do not pop any potion until you are doing killing quests. They give no added exp when you turn in a quest so using them when all you are doing is running around is a waste. Once to varnas most of the quests there are runaround ones so you should get those done asap.
Remember when partying if the players that you are with are over 10 levels above you you will get NO EXP OR TP.
One other thing to do is to find the mob that is several levels above you that you can safely take out. No use in going after something that you have to rest after each kill or pop HP and Mana potions to survive. Just kill what you can do safely. Also if you die (and you will on occasion) you will gain a debuff that kills your xp and tp gains to the bare minimum. SO it is a good idea to attempt and stay alive.

ok thx for the answers guys, I have 1 question left tho, you guys mentioned that people that have played the game for longer would have more gold/item opportunities, but I tried to find out but couldn't find a way to share stuff on my own account, its not like a shared wharehouse for all your chars, do you just trade it and trade it back on your other toon with a friend, or are there better ways, thx

there is an an-game mail feature and you can attach gold or items to messages, most people use that when sending resources to alts
my r/p can outdps r/m. your name is stupid.

Leveling can seem like a bore to some people but others like it. I for instance spent 10 hours and leveled a toon to lvl 67 (from 60) and my guildmates thought I was God (no potions mind you). It seems though I'll be needing to do dailies for at least half a level because I was doing the quests at just the limited for when they could be accepted

Grats Chaos. Almost as fast as I did it with my Mage when I first made her. Level 1 to level 55 in less than 6 hours. Of course double xp and tp when I did it helped out big time.

@mega:
You may to check your wordings because it is not true that you don't gain xp if the high level with you is more than 10 level above you. In fact that is UTTER crap. What you maybe wanted to say is that if the high level is more that 10 levels above the MOBS YOU ARE FIGHTING ( not you player to be helped/powerleveled) then you don't gain xp... And that's only in case you're not doing honour party.

About levelling to 55 in 6 hrs... Not sure if it's possible even in coo with only double xp. But I didn't try it so don't know.

It's called an honor party, or doing the powerleveling in a high level zone.

@ OP - I seriously don't recommend trying to get powerleveled if you're completely new to the game.
