So I bought a tier 7 staff from the AH and I was going to go ahead and tier it. Before I started making tier 8 stones, I wanted to know something. The staff I bought already has junk stats on it from tiering. Does it matter if the stats on the tier 8 stones match the ones on the weapon (i.e. if the stats are different from each other, will I still be able to tier it or will I need to get the stats on the stones to match the ones on the weapon before I start?)
This is my first time actually tiering a weapon, so sorry for the dumb question.
