Mount Transfer

So with the mount sale last night I figured it would be a good time to finally upgrade from my Night Lion King Mount I bought forever ago for the looks rather than the speed. So I got a Rune Disc mount and am very happy with it. But the only reason why I bought the Rune Disc mount was becuase I was under the impression I could have my old mount moved to another character. The character I want to move it to is on the same account on the same server. I was told by numerous people they would do this and have done it in the past, but after putting in a ticket I get a reply saying that "Unfortunately, due to current policies, we do not provide that service."

When did this change? And why would they not allow a paying customer to have one mount moved from one character on the server to another, which is also on the same account? If I knew about this change I would have just bought a new mount on the character I want the lion moved to rather than have two mounts on one character... :confused:

This change was put in place just after the EU crowd took over from the US group.
Not sure why, but its now policy that they don't transfer between accounts anymore.

There was never a mount transfer. What there was a process when GMs would contact player, verify that player has the mount, ask player to delete the mount, verify that this was done and then send a new mount to new account. Very manual and cumbersome process.

Sorry... Caveat Emptor. I take it, shared mount bag is not working. I thought you were supposed to be able to do that with toons on same account.

What "shared mount bag" would you be referring to?

The "Partner Bag" does not actually share anything it is simply a storage space for perm. mounts and pets

Yep, one of the reasons I did not buy anything last night.

In FA time I did mount transfer (from main to alt) and I was actually very surprised how fast it was done. (less then 24 hours)

Yeah, considering they are getting paid to do what they do, I don't see how doing this will take up so much of their time. Considering I doubt this is requested all the time and really can't be that hard of a process.

Also extremely dissapointing since I used so many diamonds to now have two perm mounts on one toon

No way to transfer a mount other than a GM moving it for you. Or doing whatever process they used to do. Althought oddly enough there is a mount section in the Auction House that has been there for as long as I can remember... Either way, I am still flying around on my rune disc while my old mount is just collecting dust in my pack. Sad waste of money...

Concur. For the amount of money they get from their diamonds there should be more customer service. This is the most expensive "free" game I've ever played. I tallied up the amount of money I've spent on diamonds and subscription games really cost less. On top of that, the subscription games will provide services, like this, to their customers.

because they want you to buy a mount for your other character.
