Noob really needs help

I have just started this game and can't even get past the tutorial. What is REALLY Messing me up is walking around. When I use the w,a,s,d or arrow keys I move but I dont face the direction I am moving. Is there a way for this game to actually have the characture face and move the same direction? why can i not just use the arrow keys or w,a,s,d to move and automatically face the same direction. I searched all over the forums and find nothing. I can not be the only one with this problem.:mad:

If you go to the system menu and go from there to the interface menu, you should be able to tweak the controls, see if any of them work better for you...alternatively, if you can't get the keys to change the direction your character is facing, you can use the mouse to change your camera angle: just click, hold, and drag. Hope this helps!

You can use the right-hand mouse button to turn both your character and the camera, and then use either the WASD or arrow keys to move it. Alternatively, you can "chord" (hold down both mouse keys) to move forward while moving the mouse to turn both the character and the camera.

DO not use W A S D - rather use W Q S E. It will take time, but you'll get used to it. ;)

For some reason RoM incorporated WASD differently than most other games. (replacing QA and ED)

However, I've gotten so used to QWES that I have to change it whenever I try something else.

@op: A and D will let you strafe left and right, W and S are forward and backwards, and Q and E will turn your character around to the left or the right.
