About The IP Block...? - Middle East

Well, I've always wanted to play RoM, but never did, since I heard about the ip-block on the Middle East, or more specifically, UAE (Dubai). I don't even know how to say hello in arabic! XD

What I want to know is, does the ip-block only affect the EU servers? Can I play on the US servers?

Only way to see is to try and get the game to work. I know another company was supposed to start hosting RoM also for the worldwide audience that are actually under IP blocks from Frogster.

As we have player from Kuwait, I guess you should be safe here. Only thing that might have an effect on your gaming experience is a bit higher ping.

Most people don't realise this but a large population of the people in UAE (Dubai) are not even arabs. >.>

I have been playing on the RoM US servers for a while now. Before ... During and the After the MENA IP Block enforced by Tahadi Games.

The block applies both to EU & US servers but due to the limitation of ISP's in the MENA region. Some people can get away with it. *cough*

Gah, my laptop got fried. :P Was just gonna start playing, since I finally got some real free time, but then kaput! BOOM.

I'll re-download the client now - and yay! :D That gives me a lot hope. And I'm not too worried about the ping, since my net and computer are OK.
