That's a thing to think about. Well I don't really know but I can suggest that you use an USB mouse, will make your gaming experience way better.

Ok some laptops have the zoon function on either the right side (which is normal) or the left side. Sometimes the function is not marked. Just put a finger on the right side and slide it up or down near the edge. That usually acts like a scroll wheel also. Try that and let me know if it works for you. My laptop ahs that function on its touchpad so I believe that most should have it unless they are really cheap.

There may be a way to do it in the options. Go to interface options and then keyboard shortcuts. I am not sure if there there is a shortcut that you can set for that.

There isn't anyway to change the keybinding - it is sealed to the scroll wheel. You can change the zoom though with a macro. It depends on what you really want to with the zoom.

Useful addon, AutoZoomOut.

I can't seem to quickly find the command for making your own macros, but it is something like

Source code

1
/run setcameradistance(x)
so you could have a few different macros for different distances. One thing to watch out for though is that this is the suicide macro - zoom out too far and you will die, though without debt or damage.

Hmm maybe Runewaker needs to change it so we can bind a couple keys to the zoom function. Not everyone ahs a mouse with their laptops and some laptops do not have the scroll/zoom function on their touchpads.

Until then,

You can do as KatalanOrk suggested.

The add-on AutoZoomOut has the ability to change the maximum zoom-out automatically while you move around. You can also set up a macro and keybind it so that when you press whatever you want to zoomin/out.
