Same armor piece in multiple equipment sets?

Like the title says.. is it possible to have the same armor piece in equipment set 1 AND equipment set 2?? This would make a lot of sense for my Druid \ Mage.

yes it is ok. All you have to do is take the piece out of the equipment slot when you switch sets.

You HAVE to move it though when you switch it won't come automatically

Hrm.. I'm not sure if you understand what I'm trying to do. It sounds like you're trying to explain how to move an armor piece over to a separate equipment slot. I don't want to move most of my equipment at all. I just want some of my equipment to be in BOTH equipment sets.

So when you switch sets you wouldn't need to take stuff out and put it in the other?

Correct.. since I'm wearing cloth with both druid and mage, there is really very little difference. But I don't want to keep carrying around gear in my bags and switching out armor all the time.

It looks like this is not possible though.. I've tried everything. It would be a serious oversight by the developers if this were the case (sad face)

Edit: I read that wrong. No, you have to keep switching the pieces around

You can:

1. Manually move a specific armor piece between gear pages 1 and 2, using your backpack as temp storage when you remove from page 1 and switch to page 2.

2. You can have one or more identical armor pieces on both gear pages.

However, at low levels, Mage and Druid use similar enough cloth gear that having separate armor sets for each class usually isn't necessary or practical. I could see doing this with the quest gear sets--Logar or Silverspring, for example, if one class is significantly lower than the other--but not for most regular mob drops.

Ya Kalvan just repeat what I say and you'll get most things right :P

While in Coast of Opportunity ( A place you can go to at level 20/20 ) and leveling alternate toons, I would do quests on my scout class until about level 30. Then I would go back use a couple experience orbs, do dailies, and I would leave some quests left over that I had finished on my scout side but didn't turn in. By this way I was able to get to get my druid up to level 30 easy. I now quested as an s/m and turned the quests in on my druid side with a couple quests on scout so it could catch up. Once I got a decent staff on my druid I completely stopped this and went d/s.

I did dailies on my scout and quests on my druid until about level 40 when I would need all the gear I could get to kill things so my scout side was left with the small crumbs I could sacrifice. Then I just did dailies and some quests on druid till level 55. I then went back on my scout and raised it to 50. Then I got all my elite skills (except the level 50 one because it isn't really good for the d/s combo)

My scout had some decent gear leftover too, so I could go into the other zones and level up.

I HATE how leveling is at lower levels. Maybe the experience you get from the normal zones should be raised and the experience from CoO could be lowered a smidge because you can get to level 53 in CoO by questing and some dailies, this allows you to go to Savage Lands skipping Weeping Coast. The experience that quests give need to be smoothed out.

I don't really have the time now to say what new experience values might be, but lowering the experience so that you can only get to level 50 would let the other zones be playable. The original zones should have the same exp as CoO. This would 'cause quest chains and stuff to be messed up and some quests would be deleted so ya I understand, but those awesome zones aren't played much since most toons coming into the game (at least on Reni) are alts. When a new player hears about CoO they immediately want to go there, thats what happened to me when started just when the two zones came out :/ and no matter how hard I tried questing in those beautiful zones... the spoiled questing I got in CoO killed the experience

Please re-read what else was in my post.

For the record (and for a class combo that uses the same armor type), moving one or more armor pieces between the gear pages, especially at low level (< lvl 50) is usually a waste of time. The exception would be if you're well-heeled and are trying to maximize the potential (damage or healing, in this case) of both classes. This can be expensive, both in terms of in-game and RL money, and relatively few players can afford to do it.

Mage/Druid can be an awesome class combo, especially at higher levels. It has some of the best elite skills in the game for both damage and healing (when flipped to D/M). I hope lordzerosouls enjoys his.

Thanks Kalvan, I am indeed enjoying the D\M and M\D leveling so far.
