House Chest Question (maybe its a bug??)

I wanted to use one characters house chest to store gathered products but after several days I get this EXACT message "Too many items not approved by homeowner" whenever my other charter attempts to add OR remove anything.

This character has "authorization" for all 3 house functions. Is this a bug? How can items be swapped between characters?

Almost impossible for me to play as my guy must keep all his materials in his backpack so there's no room for quest or hunting drops.

TIA to all helpful replies.

Just log in with the char that owns the chest, see the list of actions and will be back as usual. All actions you do in other char chest is put in a log that needs to be purged sometimes

TY, believe I have already done that several times but will try again, unfortunately last night I emptied that chest (now have both players with full backpacks) as I was tired of no access to the materials.

Since this action has altered the given conditions, I may have also altered the outcome. Will try recreating circumstances a bit later today. Would be nice to not carry all this stuff.

To clear your access log, you have to log in with the owner of the house chest and {OK} out of the log, not simply close it.

To set up chest sharing, you will need to add which toons you want to have access to your "House Friends" list. This is done from the housing menu drop down. If I remember right it is the last button on the same bar you used to access your "House Furniture".

Once you have added your House Friends, you will need to open your chest. There are three buttons on the lower right. These enable access, permit view and permit insert/withdraw. These permissions will them be valid for ALL entries in your house friend table.

Three buttons in the bottom of chest, just turn them on and you'll be able to see, pick and put itens with house friends. You need to add housefriends' names when you're inside your house.

Thanks all, I had already set access for all 3 buttons, it seems problem may have been the log issue but since I emptied the chest last night via the chest owner and entry into the house automatically brings up the log ... I may have checked the correct button and therefore cleared the log.

ATM, am able to use the chest, will wait and watch. Thx, again.

Not only do you have to log on as the toon you are using as storage but you have to enter the house with that toon as well. I don't think just logging on clears the log.
What if the Hokey Pokey really is what it's all about?

Just logging in will clear it. I do not, however, believe it is related to the log. I find it happens if I go to put an item into the chest, and put it in a slot already takein by something else. It immediately locks me out. To get past that, I just have started removing everything from the chest, to my bags, stacking there, and putting things back in the chest. I've not had that come up since.

Wasn't 100% sure about entering the house or not but I do what you're attempting to do all the time with runes with no issues, so yeah looks like there may be a bug there.

It appears that, in my specific case, if the house owner enters his house, which will bring up the chest log, then clicking the lower right tab (forget its name but isn't a choice just one tab) ... then this clears my problem. Thanks to the poster with that info.
