Help me choose my house maids

hi im a r/s and so far ive narrowed it down to the following maids
1 cook
1 defensive
1 combat
2 inventive

having trouble deciding on a 6th.
I was also wondering if different lvl combat buffs stack on one another?
Thanks for any input

Well, it would be helpful to know which class combo you are and whether you are dps or tank?

Pretty much everyone wants a few inventive housekeepers. They make pots which are very handy for all classes. Tanks and healers usually want defensive buffs, and melee dps classes want combat. Most melee dps classes want cooking because of caviar sandwiches.

Knowing what you want them to do for you will help us guide you. :)

as you are a DPS combo you probably want another combat housemaid if you get enough caviar sandwiches from your single cooking HM. 1 Defensive (Lvl100) should be enough even if you would have /K third and off-tank sometimes, or use the %HP buff for pvp.

And for the housemaid buffs, you can kinda stack them if you're lucky.

For example: the combat housemaid will give you either a %atk + atk(flat number) buff or a phys crit buff. and the def housemaid will give you a %hp/def + hp/def (flat number).

The %buffs override each other and the flat number buffs override eachother. So you can get a %hp +hp buff, then talk to the combat one and get the crit buff (which replaces the flat hp buff), leaving you with %hp + phys crit. The same can be done to get %phys atk + phys crit.

Hope that didn't sound too confusing

I also have 1 housemaid that I intentionally keep at a lowish level to guarantee certain items

No... You dont need two inventive. You need two cooks. One should be leveled to the max to give you Housekeeper Special Unimaginable Salad. Second one should be leveled to about 40 to give you Housekeeper Special Caviar Sandwich

Once you have leftover training, train all of the keepers to do potions. Since they are random, you will, once you completely train your people, usually end up with having non-inventive specialist to make potions for you once in a while.

Make sure you get 100 in the chosen profession, and 100 charisma if you can. You get longer buffs and more supplies from a charismatic housekeeper.

Different levels buffs do not stack if they are same type, you cant stack Buritto and Salad, since they are both Patt foods. You also cant stack Patt food and Salted Fish (Pdam food). But both Patt and Pdam food with Caviar Sandwich (Crit food), which is why you need two cooks.

Similarly, defensive and combat buffs do not stack with each other, nor do the bonuses from same housekeeper. So, you can have HP, Pdef, Patt or Crit buff from your defensive and combat HKs, but only one out of 4. As Quaffy mentioned, there is an exception to this, where they half-stack.

Finally, last piece of advice is not referring to housekeepers as house maids. There are house maids in the game and housekeepers, and they are not the same. Don't use the wrong term and confuse the issue.

Do you guys actually use the 80-100 items from crafting. I don't find myself needing the aggro pots (not a tank) and mad rush is usually enough w/o the godspeed pot. I would rather not get those two items, leaving it's skill at 80 and increase my odds for galloping gale, luck pots, and the other stuff.

I'd probably swap out an expert inventor for another combat or cook one that also gets crafting to like 80. A multi-purpose housekeeper if you will. Remember that each one can do ANY of the categories, the distinction is just for getting skills that require >80. The housekeepers that don't specialize in cooking can get you the physical damage food I believe, and the ones >80 in cooking will get you the physical attack food.

As vfwiff..vwiffy...vfwaffles...mr. pink hat said, you will want a low lv housekeeper to give you the crit food, but it doesnt really matter what it specializes in as you won't lv it up in the 80-100 range anyway.

Not really. Only Pdam food is the low level Salted Fish with Sauce, and that gives you measly (dam + 48) * 3% + 48 bonus. But to keep that HK in the low range to make that food, you have to keep him untrained and that means he wont make anything else worthwhile. Might have been worth it if it stacked with Patt food, but it does not. And Patt is much, much better at salad level, giving you (patt + 1200) * 15% + 1200 bonus.

Phbttt... Nobody remembers the most valiant Spathi ever, the one and only Captain Fwiffo, the one who ended up single handedly supervising fate of all humanity?

Ummm... where was I? Oh, right, the Caviar HK does not matter to get right. He wont be leveled to the max to keep him from the post-sandwich food range; so no reason to pick a good HK. He is a good source of lower-level potions, though.

LOL, i didn't know that was a thing. My 3 seconds of research did uncover an interesting fact though

Quoted

Fwiffo appears to have developed a notorious reputation within the Spathi Navy as being particularly cowardly, weak-willed and impressionable by even Spathi norms... As a member of the Spathi High Council says, "If you held a weapon to Fwiffo's head, he would say anything you wanted him to say. In fact, if you held a vegetable to his head he would probably say anything you wanted him to say."

Most valiant Spathi you say? Don't make me bring out the vegetables...
