Using t5 heroes/glory to clean tier

Can anyone briefly explain how to clean tier using t5 heroes / glories?
Let's say I want a t7 piece with hero / glor stats of MY CHOICE but I want to get it to t7 using the junk heroes / glor, how would go about doing it? I've been wondering how to do this for a while because I've just been tiering using clean mana stones but now that junk t5s are like 20% cheaper, I think I'll go about it that way.

There are three main principles of order in which stats go onto gear.

1) Lower level stats go before higher level stats. The stat level is not a visible parameter, like IX or VIII - two VIII stats can very well be different levels.

2) The stats of same level go onto gear in this order: (a) stat on gear already, (b) stats in slots center, upper left, upper right, lower left, lower right

3) Stats of same level in same slot go in order they are shown on stone.

So... lets say I want to put 3 hero and 2 glory stat and I want to make my gear T6.

1) H1 + H2 + H3 --> H1/H2/H3 T6 stone
2) G1 + G2 + F1 --> G1/G2/F1 T6 stone
3) F2 + F3 + F4 --> F2/F3/F4 T6 stone

Now, I put stone from step 1 into center, step 2 into upper left, step 3 in upper right, gear into lower.

Stats that will go in:

1) Stat on gear already, since it is same level or lower than hero/glory (unless it is orange hero, that is higher)
2) Stats on center stone. All 3 stats go on
3) Stats on upper left stone. Only two stats left, so G1 and G2 go on. F1 falls out
4) Stats on upper right stone. No slots left so they all fall out.

End result is gear stat/H1/H2/H3/G1/G2. All Fs (fails) are gone.

T7 is similar process, but more stones involved.
-- Rustyx --- 92R / 92S / 92M on Reni (Guild KnightShift). Yes, running the new FOTM R/M, cause I am not elf enough to be WD/S.

Oh, and people who have more than 3 classes are clinically insane.

Agh makes sense. Basically putting the stats I want into center (3 stats there) and upper left (and 3 stats her as well) will override my gear stats and the stats on the other stone. Awesome =]

The level of priority was mainly what I needed.

PS: Tell rest of Saints that I won't be on today or tomorrow. I'm getting my desktop reformatted and I am using my MacAir atm.

there with screens.

And no you will NOT overrider LOWER stats that are already on gear. Only HIGHER stats can be pushed of *gear*. Example: the red stat from grafu chests can be pushed away with grafu/sardo/crimson but not with glorious/hero anymore.

the red stat from tosh chests will be pushed off by glorious and hero only (probably the next 126s coming soon, too, but depends on the internal rating and we will have to wait for them to show up and get to the data)

The one-sentence version of using crap stats is: play 6-in-a-row with your good stats and have every other stat below your row of 6 and if the preview shows the correct result, youre fine.

Yea, so if I'm dealing with all the SAME stats (let's say I only do hero/glor), center stats and upper left stats will override stats anywhere else on the arcane transmutor yes?

And how could grafu stats (aka: castle stats) be pushed off with sardo (bunker) / crimson stats if they're lower? Or are grafu orange stats equal to bunker / crim?

orange stats always have a higher rating (do not ask me why). i had made a screenshot of an example for my guilds forum ... let me look it up, and you'll see what i mean.

this was from a preview-pic

(yes, german :p)
"Burg" = Castle (Grafu)
"Bunkers" = Bunker (Sardo)
"Ruhmreich" = Glorious
"Helden" = Hero

so the orange stat blocked one of the better ones out (which would have appeard as sixth stat at the bottom) while using glorious/hero. the bunker and castle stat were not affected (was a preview pic with the stats from the stones of the other thread, not an actual item, therefore the strange stats like sta/mp :D)

edit: ok the detailed explanation is that for the grafu orange stats these have the SAME rating as glorious/hero therefore the old "stat is already on item" kicks in and it cannot be removed with pushing unless you use max. bunker stats.

orange/red tosh stats seem to be pushable by anything that arrives in the near future unless that values change. (currently it seems the next stats with a higher rating are the orange ones on lvl75 chests)

Yo is right. Green stats will always push higher stats off gear no matter what spot they are in. If you want to clean tier then you ahve to use only yellow stats. Depending on the prices in teh AH and even your pocketbook it might cost a bomb. to clean Tier. There are some very nice posts on how to tier gear here and some will even take you all the way up to T9/T10. But again cost is the problem.
